McIntyre drills him with a right hand to knock him off of the apron. Ricochet hits an enziguiri from the apron. He leaps from the steel steps right into a Glasgow Kiss headbutt from Drew. Ricochet counters a Claymore with a superkick. McIntyre turns him inside out with a clothesline and hits a powerbomb for a close two count. Ricochet hits the recoil codebreaker and hits 630 splash for the pin and the win. He advances to Round 2 against Samoa Joe.

Sarah Schreiber is with RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Brain Strowman. She asks about their responsibility at Clash of Champions but Strowman can’t stop staring at the Universal Championship. Strowman asks Rollins about who he plans to face for the Universal title. Rollins realizes this the indirect challenge and gets amped up. He accepts the challenge and the match is made official right away. The commentary team tells us that they will also defend the tag team titles on the same night earlier. On top of that, Strowman is facing AJ Styles later tonight, so, he could also be the double champion going into Clash of Champions with the possibility of becoming a triple champion.

Baron Corbin defeated The Miz in Round 1 match of King of the Ring Tournament

The Miz cuts a promo before his match, listing all of his accolades like being the WWE Champion, all other championships, and having his own reality TV series. He wants it all and next is sitting on the Iron Throne of WWE and becoming “King Awesome”.

Corbin distracts Miz by throwing his shirt on his face and unloads in the corner. Miz comes back and hits a clothesline to send Corbin out of the ring. Corbin steps away from the hits clothesline in the outside. He rams Miz into the barricade before bringing him in. Miz tries to counter him but Corbin slides under the ropes and comes back in to hit a clothesline to get a quick two-count.

The Miz starts to make a comeback. He hits a couple of running knees in the corner and a corner clothesline. He gets up on the top turnbuckle and a two count with a double ax handle. Corbin avoids the Figure Four and hits Deep Six to get a near fall of his own. Miz counters the chokeslam and then the End of Days and hits him with a DDT for two-count. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale but Corbin kicks out at two. Corbin avoids a springboard move and hits End of Days for the pin and the win.

After the match, Corbin gets to the ramp and sits on the throne present there. He crowns himself and starts his promo reminding us of the pre-show interview where he was told that very few people believe that he will become the King of the Ring. But he does not care about our opinion. He went on to give the slogan of “All Hail King Corbin”.

Sarah Schieber talks to Gallows and Anderson backstage and asks them about the 8 team Tag Team Turmoil match for the no. 1 contender to RAW Tag Team Championship. They say that last week, Rollins and Strowman earner the title match out of thin air but they will need to earn it against 8 teams. It is not fair but they will win that match and will take the title back at Clash of Champions.

Recap from the last week where Rey Mysterio was about to announce his retirement but was stopped by his son Dominick. Rey will return to RAW next week.
