Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles ends in Disqualification
Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler joins the commentary for the match. Rollins and Styles lock up and Rollins puts on the headlock. Styles tries to run the rope to break the hold but only get successful in the second attempt. Even then, Rollins takes him down with a shoulder tackle. Styles comes back with a kick and dolls out a couple of punches. They started trading chops and shots for some time. Styles tries to sneak a pin in between. Rollins hits the spinning back elbow which hits Styles hard.
Styles forces Rollins on the apron where Anderson distracts him. Styles pushed Rollins off the apron and the Club was about to start attacking Rollins when Shawn Michaels and Triple H come out to DX’s music. The show goes to the commercial.
We return as the match gets started again. Rollins hits a sling blade followed by a blockbuster from the middle rope. He nails AJ with a springboard knee and a superkick. Anderson and Gallows cause a DQ when they attack Rollins. Triple H and Shawn Michaels come in and the two trios have a standoff. Styles holds up the too sweet symbol as a peace offering.
DX also holds up the too sweet before their signature suck it. DX and Rollins attack the Only Club and forces them to the outside. The Club trio bring out the chairs to attack DX and Rollins but before they could, Road Dogg, X-Pac, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash come out to join DX. The Club retreats as the number are against them. AJ Styles tells Shawn Michaels he will get to him. They let Rollins do the “We got two words for ya” line of DX.
The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase is laughing and walking with the 24/7 championship. He goes into his limo and a loud thud is heard. Drake Maverick comes out of the limo. Apparently, he has won the title back. He is about to run away with her wife but the usual line of WWE lower card guys start chasing him.
Mick Foley gets in the ring and the 24/7 chaos reaches there. Foley vows to win the 24/7 title before the night is through but can’t catch up to the line. He starts talking about the greatest moment of his career and goes to January of 1999 when he won the WWE title. The clip stops quickly and it fades away. The lights also start fading out and the Fiend is in the ring. He shoves Mr. Sock into Foley’s mouth and light fades away once more. Bray Wyatt laughs as the darkness descends.
A Moment of Bliss with Becky Lynch and Natalya
Becky Lynch is introduced by Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Bliss brings up the upcoming WWE SummerSlam title defense against Natalya. The music immediately hits and out comes Natalya with a mic. Bliss asks her why she is here. Natalya says Becky can say it to her face if she has something to say. Bliss shows us what happened last week during the in-ring face-off between Lynch and Natalya. Natalya mentions meeting Becky in Japan years ago and now she doesn’t respect her, which blows her mind.
Becky accuses Natalya of trying to stab her in the back once she got to WWE. Lynch talks about Natalya’s friendship with Ronda Rousey and says she will embarrass Natalya in her home country at SummerSlam. A brawl breaks out on the stage between Becky and Natalya. The referees separate them and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross look on with amusement as they sip their coffee. What happened to the expose that was promised?
Natalya is backstage after the break for an interview with Charly Caruso. She calls Becky delusional for thinking that the Women’s Evolution was created by her.
Maverick reaches to the limo where his wife Renee is waiting for her. He holds her hand as they get ready to go. R-Truth tries to pin him from behind but Reene keeps the hold, preventing the roll-up. Carmella kicks Renee’s hands and R-Truth gets the pin to win the title back. R-Truth gets into the car and it drives away with Renee Michelle in it. Maverick starts crying over the title only realizes after when Carmella stares at him that his wife is gone too.
