The Viking Raiders vs Two Jobbers
Nothing much to write about here as Erik and Ivar make quick work of the local talent like they have been doing in the last 6-8 weeks.
Winners- The Viking Raiders
Sasha Banks is walking backstage and is being stopped for an interview. She is asked if she is rooting for her best friend, Bayley, to win tonight, considering she is teaming with Becky Lynch. Sasha gets frustrated and just says, “I see what you’re trying to do. Get the hell out of my face!”
Ricochet vs Samoa Joe
Joe gets on the mic before Ricochet could enter and says lies have been told. Everyone has said they would be King of the Ring but all those lies can’t overcome the universal truth that “King Samoa Joe sounds just right.”
Joe takes Ricochet down with a wristlock to start off, only to be countered into a hammerlock by Ricochet. They go back and forth like this until Joe grabs the rope to force a break. Samoa Joe hits a kick to the inside of the thigh before applying a kneebar. However, Ricochet is too close to the ropes. Joe keeps focusing on Ricochet’s leg to keep him grounded. They end up at ringside where Ricochet hits a moonsault from the barricade. Joe drops Ricochet’s knees into the mat with a unique slam. He applies a single-leg Boston crab but Ricochet grabs the rope.
Ricochet takes him down with a headscissor and follows up with a springboard moonsault for a two count. Joe plants him with an urinagi before he brings him out of the ring for an exploder suplex into the barricade. Joe is keeping Ricochet grounded in a headlock after the break. Joe runs into a forearm to the face as Ricochet tries to mount a comeback. The high flyer follows it up with a rolling dropkick. He hits a standing shooting star press next and Samoa Joe is busted open above his eye.
Ricochet climbs up for a corkscrew but Joe avoids it and hits a power slam out of nowhere for a two-count. Ricochet sticks him with a superkick and a handspring into a moonsault out of the ring to the floor. Joe trips him on the top turnbuckle and climbs up with him. He locks in the Coquina Clutch on the top rope but Ricochet is able to counter by pushing back so both men fall. The referee counts and both men’s shoulders are on the mat. We have got a double pin here.
The referee goes out of the ring and grabs a headset to talk to someone backstage. He says they are going to make a ruling soon and heads backstage. Joe attacks Ricochet and brings him back to the ring. Ricochet hits a kick and a recoil.
Result- The Match ended in a Double Pin
Rollins and Strowman discussing the contract signing next week, with Stone Cold as moderator. He heard Austin gushing over Rollins on the Skype call recently and he doesn’t like how this looks. Rollins assures Braun that he knows what it’s like to be stabbed in the back by your best friend and that also, he’s not going to be able to dictate anything Steve Austin does or doesn’t do. Strowman repeats the sentiment and says if Austin would try to dictate anything, he will get “these hands”.
