Claudio Castagnoli will defend ROH World Championship against PAC at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2023 PPV.

Claudio Castagnoli was set to face Mark Briscoe at Death Before Dishonor event earlier. However, Briscoe withdrew from the event due to injury. Tony Khan announced that Claudio’s new opponent would be revealed after Blood & Guts match which took place this week on Dynamite.

PAC was in Claudio’s team with Blackpool Combat Club. However, PAC and Claudio got into an argument during the match, leading to PAC leaving the match in between. The Golden Elite defeated Blackpool Combat Club in the Blood & Guts.

In a post-show video posted on AEW’s social medi, Claudio was clearly enraged at PAC’s betrayal. Backstage, he screamed that he want Bastard and does not want to wait another day or another week. He then said Mark Briscoe was ready, and PAC should step up to face him at Death Before Dishonor.

PAC responded shortly afterwards via social media where he said he had a simple agreement with Claudio for Blood & Guts match, but Claudio was in no way, shape or form ready to honor that agreement. He also accepted Claudio’s challenge for ROH World Heavyweight Championship.

Tony Khan was quick to make the match official for Death Before Dishonor. The event is set to take place this Friday on July 21, 2023, in Trenton, NJ. Women’s title, Pure title, TV title, and Tag Team title matches are already set for the event.
