Owens vs Solo, Tag Matches Set for WWE SmackDown January 27
WWE has revealed several matches for WWE SmackDown episode of January 27, 2023, including Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa showdown.
Kevin Owens was supposed to sit down with Roman Reigns for a contract-signing segment this week on SmackDown. However, Owens ran through the crowd and attacked Solo Sikoa and Roman out of nowhere to avenge an attack from the Bloodline from a week before.
Now, WWE has announced that Owens will face Solo Sikoa in a singles match. This match will take place just one day before Royal Rumble where Owens will face Roman Reigns to challenge for Universal Championship.
Two semifinal matches of the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Contender tournament will take also place on the show. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus will take on Hit-Row’s Top Dolla and Ashante “Thee” Adonis in one match. In the second match, Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci will face Legado Del Fantasma’s Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde.
Rey Mysterio vs Karrion Kross singles match was already announced for January 27 episode of SmackDown last week itself.
January 27, 2023 episode of WWE SmackDown will be the go-home show for Royal Rumble 2023 event. The show will air from Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, TX. The line-up is as below:
- Drew McIntyre & Sheamus vs Hit-Row(Top Dolla & Ashante “Thee” Adonis)
- Imperium(Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) vs Legado Del Fantasma(Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde)
- Rey Mysterio vs Karrion Kross
- Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa
