Original Plan For Seth Rollins & Tommaso Ciampa on RAW June 19
The latest report had Seth Rollins scheduled to face Tommaso Ciampa on June 19, 2023 episode of WWE RAW, but the segment changed at the last moment.
According to a report from Fightful Select, When Seth Rolins announced the open challenge, WWE’s plan had Tommaso Ciampa scheduled to accept the challenge in the opening segment of RAW. It is said that the match was expected to run long, approximately taking the first half an hour of the show.
However, the segment took a drastic turn as Vince McMahon changed the opening segment which led to Finn Balor kicking off RAW with a surprise attack on Seth Rollins. It is also reported that people backstage were “frustrated” with this change.

Balor also attacked Rollins after his match against Bron Breakker this past week on WWE NXT as the build-up for their match at Money in the Bank 2023.
Ciampa ended up facing The Miz in an open challenge match During RAW June 19 episode and secured the victory in his comeback match.
The report also mentions that there were plans to reunite Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, as Gargaono was backstage at RAW this week. But, the changed creative plans did not include his involvement. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have won NXT tag team championship once.
While tt will be great to see this duo back in action working as a tag team partner again, but WWE has not given any hints for the Ciampa-Gargano reunion as of now though.
