NXT Halloween Havoc Night 1: Chase U vs The Family Tag Title Bout Set

NXT Tag Team Championship match is set for NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night One event.

Tony D. Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo will defend their NXT Tag Team titles against Chase U (Duke Hudson and Andre Chase) at NXT Halloween Havoc Night One event.

On the October 17 episode of NXT, the Bada Bing Bada Boom Battle Royal was set to decide the #1 contender for the NXT Tag Team titles. As the competition unfolded, it came down to Chase U, Humberto Carrillo, and Angel Garza as the last two teams remaining in the battle royal, resulting in a tag team match between these two pairs.

During the battle royal, Carrillo and Garza were initially eliminated, but Carrillo managed to slip back into the match unnoticed by the referees. This strategic move allowed them to eliminate the Creed Brothers (Julius Creed and Brutus Creed).

At the end of the match, The Creed Brothers exacted some payback by assisting Chase U in their win. Brutus Creed distracted the referee while Julius pulled Carrillo out of the ring to stop a double team move. Chase then countered Garza with a rana pin to get the pinfall and earning them a chance at the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Tony D. Angelo and Lorenzo’s most recent title defense took place at NXT No Mercy 2023 PLE. They successfully defended their titles in a Fatal Four-Way match, defeating The Creed Brothers, OTM, as well as Garza and Carrillo.

NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night One event is scheduled for October 24, 2023, and it will be live from WWE Performance Center, Orlando, Florida. NXT Women’s Championship match is also set for the event, where Becky Lynch will face Lyra Valkyria.
