NJPW G1 Climax 32 Night 18 Results- August 16, 2022
Welcome to the results blog for NJPW G1 Climax 32 Night 18 which will start the last leg of the tournament on August 16, 2022.
The event will feature last set of league phase matches for G1 Climax 32 with the qualification from each block at stake. 7 out of 8 matches will impact the points table from each block.
In the opener, Will Ospreay takes on Juice Robinson from Block D where Ospreay must win to keep his hopes alive. Shingo Takagi and El Phantasmo will be the last match from Block D where a win for Takagi in any case would result in him topping the block. If Phantasmo wins and Ospreay loses, they both will be tied.
Hirooki Goto must win his Block C match against EVIL to force a tie at the top of the table. Even then, if Zack Sabre Jr. wins his match against Tetsuya Naito, he can qualify for the semifinal outright.
Both Tomohiro Ishii and SANADA are eliminated from the tournament as they get into their last match from Block B. The winner of Jay White vs Tama Tonga match will decide the winner of Block B.
JONAH and Bad Luck Fale are eliminated from the tournament from block A. Kazuchika Okada vs Lance Archer match will be the final match of the night where even a tie will take Kazuchika Okada to semifinal but Archer must win this match to qualify for semifinal.
