NJPW Best of Super Juniors Night 9 Results, May 23, 2023
NJPW Best of Super Juniors 30 event series night 9 was set to air on May 23, 2023, with the matches from the final night from block A only on this night.
There were 3 wrestlers on 12 points each and only two of them could have qualified for the semifinals. These 3 wrestlers were Mike Bailey, Lio Rush and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi. Rush and Mike Bailey are facing each other in the co-main event. So, only one of them was going to qualify for the semifinal.
Hiromu Takahashi faced Titan in the main event and a straight win would have been enough to get him to the semifinal. However, a win for Titan could also keep him in contention for the semifinals. With Taiji Ishimori out of action with an injury, he was already out of contention. So, which two of Mike Bailey, Lio Rush, Hiromu Takahashi and Titan qualified for the semis?
