Naomichi Marufuji to face Will Ospreay on NOAH 25th Anniversary Show
Will Ospreay will face Naomichi Marufiji at NOAH’s 25th-anniversary event, Pro Wrestling NOAH has officially announced.
The event is set to take place on September 17, 2023, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
During the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event, Ospreay defeated Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship. After the match, Ospreay mentioned that he wanted to fight Naomichi Marufiji at Marufuji’s 25th-anniversary event.

Ospreay also mentioned that Marufiji is his childhood idol, and he would love to have the opportunity to compete in the ring with him.
Will Ospreay and Naomichi Marufiji once teamed up in a tag team match in 2016. They teamed up with Toru Yano to defeat Juice Robinson, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Tomoaki Honma in a tag team match.
Naomichi Marufiji started his wrestling career in 1998 after completing his training at the All Japan Pro Wrestling dojo. Marufiji’s inaugural match occurred on August 28, 1998, when he faced Yoshinobu Kanemaru. In 2000, he debuted in Pro Wrestling Noah, where he has remained ever since and has established an impressive legacy.
