Mark Henry Thanks Jade Cargill For Tribute on AEW Dynamite
Jade Cargill partnered Shaquille O’Neil on this week’s AEW Dynamite: The Crossroads edition to take on Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet in a mixed tag team match.
During the match, Cargill countered a crossbody dive from Red Velvet into an overhead throw. This is one of Mark Henry’s signature moves where he used to catch his opponents’ crossbody and use to plant them in the ring.
Henry, who has been a mentor for Cargill, took to Twitter to tell Cargill that he noticed his student’s tribute for him. Henry also thanked Cargill for the tribute and wished her well for the future.
Henry said, “I wanted to give a big shoutout to Jade Cargill. Thank you for paying armitage to me in the match. I saw it. I knew exactly what it was. Little subtleties.. Little Mark Henry-ism. Thank you. Keep Studying and trying to be the best you could be.”
Cargill was able to win the match for her team after slamming Red Velvet face-first into the mat. The match also saw Cody putting Shaq through a table in a big spot. Shaq was later taken out in an ambulance.
This week’s AEW Dynamite show was the go-home episode for AEW Revolution 2021 PPV.
