List of Wrestlers Triple H Hired Back to WWE in 2022

Triple-H Infinity Gauntlet

Ever since he took over the WWE creative, bringing back formerly released wrestler has been the theme for Triple H’s era in 2022.

Beefing up the roster thin WWE Roster, especially in the women’s division, was one of the main tasks for Triple H when he took over the reigns. He has brought back so many wrestlers which were released by WWE either from his NXT Developmental or from the main roster. These releases were either without giving these wrestlers a proper chance to showcase their talent or were the result of bad booking decisions in the past.

The sheer amounts of returns have led to a Triple H Infinity Gauntlet meme becoming famous. Not every talent among them has been a hit, but at least the wrestlers and fans cannot complain that they did not get a proper chance. Who are these wrestlers that Triple H has brought back? Check out the details below.

Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai was the first name to appear on-screen that was brought back by Triple H. She was revealed as Bayley’s teammate in the Damage CTRL faction. She has become 2-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Iyo Sky in 2022.

Karrion Kross & Scarlett

Karrion Kross returned to attack Drew McIntyre while the later’s rivalry with Roman Reigns was still ongoing. Unlike his first run on the main roster, Scarlett has become a significant part of Kross’ presentation this time around. The duo did not have any significant feuds though since moving on from Drew McIntyre.

Dexter Lumis

Dexter Lumis’ return on August 5’s RAW episode was an odd affair as he targeted The Miz for weeks before his real motives were revealed. The Silent Assasin has been involved in an engaging storyline with The Miz so far.

Hit-Row(B-Fab, Ashante “Thee” Adonis & Top Dolla)

Hit-Row was quite a rage when they were first introduced in NXT in 2021. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott was the leader of the faction which relied on his rapping prowess along with that of B-Fab and Top Dolla. Vince McMahon never understood the dynamics of the group and all of them were released in 2021. Apart from Swerve who signed with AEW, the other 3 members did not feature much in wrestling outside WWE. Triple H was quick to bring the available trio back. However, without Swerve, the group has not shown any spark.

Johnny Gargano

With the impending birth of his child, Johnny Gargano decided to take a break from wrestling when his contract with WWE expired in December 2021. It was all but a matter of time before he would return to WWE when Triple H became in charge of WWE. He made the return on August 22, 2022 episode of RAW. Johnny Wrestling has been one of the most impactful returns in 2022 under Hunter.

Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman is another name who has been booked far better than his previous run in WWE. Presented as a monster so far, Strowman has actually axed his own foot when he criticized smaller-sized wrestlers and their wrestling style. Although it did not affect his booking, Strowman is received less favourable by the crowds.

Candice LeRae

Along with her husband Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae was another name always expected to return to WWE whenever she was ready after her pregnancy. The return came on a RAW episode of September 26th when LeRae was a surprise opponent for Nikki ASH.

Cathy Kelley

Cathy Kelley left WWE in February 2020 after NXT TakeOver: Portland event. After some outside projects, Kelley was brought back when WWE made changes to the presentation and commentary team in October 2022.

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has managed to create a massive curiosity among the fans once again with a new “White Rabbit” character which was being teased since the start of September. Bray’s return happened on Extreme Rules 2022 event where Bray returned as his own self. However, His mental sufferings have continued with a new character in Uncle Howdy appearing time and again to torment him.

Good Brothers(Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were brought in by AJ Styles after being outnumbered by The Judgment Day for months. The move helped AJ even the odds against Finn Balor’s team. The Good Brothers have also been a great addition to WWE’s tag team roster which only had a handful of good tag teams.

Emma

Emma was released by WWE back in 2017, and was never thought of as a contender to return to WWE 5 years later. She returned on the October 28 episode of SmackDown to answer SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey’s open challenge.

Mia Yim

Despite bringing in The Good Brothers, The OC were not able to neutralize Rhea Ripley. To make a 4 against 4 contest, The OC had to bring in “Michin” Mia Yim to their faction on the November 7 episode of RAW.

Valhalla(Sarah Logan)

Sarah Logan has returned to WWE along with his husband Ivar of The Viking Raiders on the November 11 episode of SmackDown. She is yet to feature in-ring action but has been involved in multiple ring-side brawls and interferences in a feud with Hit-Row and Legado Del Fantasma.

Tegan Nox

Tegan Nox is another one of Triple H favourites from NXT who was called back after being released by WWE. She made a return to SmackDown on December 2 episode, a year after her release. She has formed a tag team with Liv Morgan and also got engaged in a feud with Xia Li.

Bronson Reed

After Dexter Lumis, Bronson Reed was the second wrestler to return with a storyline with the Miz. He returned on the December 19, 2022, episode of RAW to help Miz win a ladder match against Dexter Lumis. Earlier in the year, Reed got some good exposure in NJPW and even defeated Kazuchika Okada in G1 Climax. Therefore, it was a bit shocking to see him return to WWE.
