The news for Brock Lesnar moving to RAW was supposed to be announced on WWE Backstage’s premiere episode on FS1.

WWE Backstage officially premieres on Tuesday, 5 November 2019 on FS1. The premiere episode will feature a special video message from John Cena apart from an appearance from former NFL player Rob Gronkowski. Renee Young previously teased a big announcement for the premiere episode. And as it is speculated, the big announcement was nothing other than Brock Lesnar getting moved to Monday Night RAW.

On this past Friday Night SmackDown, Paul Heyman announced WWE Champion Brock Lesnar was quitting SmackDown. He has come to the decision after Lesnar was denied a match against Rey Mysterio by Vince McMahon. As per the storyline, Lesnar and Mysterio were part of SmackDown and RAW respectively and are contracted exclusively for FOX and USA Network.

Lesnar was attacked by Mysterio after he refused to let go-off Cian Velasquez after their match at Crown Jewel. Lesnar wanted some retribution and asked for the match against Mysterio on SmackDown. He will now be moved permanently to RAW and will be taking the WWE Championship title to the brand.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, this story was originally scheduled to be announced at WWE Backstage and was the same huge news that Renee Young teased. The change happened after WWE talent and crew were delayed in Saudi Arabia. Lesnar and Heyman were not originally scheduled for SmackDown. But they were asked to come in since so few got out of Saudi Arabia on time.
