Kevin Owens turns heel on Kofi Kingston

We would have wanted it to but it did not last long! Kevin Owens has turned on another one of his teammates. Kevin Owens joined the New Day last week to become an honorary member of the stable. But the gig lasted only for a week.
This week, Kofi Kingston faced Shinsuke Nakamura with Kevin Owens and Xavier Woods on the commentary table and Rusev and Lana in the Nakamura’s booth. After a good back and forth match, Kofi had hit SOS on Nakamura and was about to pin him when Rusev attacked him to cause a disqualification. Woods and KO came in to save Kofi from a post-match assault.
Woods took care of Rusev but Nakamura took him out with a Kinshasa. Owens sent Nakamura packing but soon hit the superkick on Kofi to turn heel on him. Then Owens ripped his New Day shirt to show his KO shirt. He then took Kofi’s WWE title belt and told him that he is coming for it.

Clearly, this is going towards Kofi and KO facing off at Money in the Bank which is scheduled on 19 May at XL Center in Hartford, CT. To be up to date on all the news related to the event, you can check out our MITB center.
