Report: Kevin Patrick Removed from WWE SmackDown Commentary Team
Kevin Patrick has been reportedly removed from WWE SmackDown Commentary Team.
Dave Meltzer from F4WOnline.com, through Wrestling Observer Radio, has verified that, unless there are alterations to the plans, Kevin Patrick is set to be removed from SmackDown commentary. Aaron Varble initially reported this news on Monday and tweeted that the reason given for this axe was that it wasn’t working out with Patrick.
PWInsider also corroborated the news and added that the decision was made by WWE executives on Monday Night itself, and seemed to be a last-minute decision as Patrick was scheduled to travel to SmackDown this Friday.
SmackDown set for a change.

Kevin Patrick is out.
No replacement named yet.
Reason I was given: “It just wasn’t working out.”
Kevin Patrick joined WWE in March 2021, initially serving as a backstage correspondent, commentator, and host on RAW. Subsequently, he transitioned to a commentary role on RAW last year before moving to SmackDown.
During his time on SmackDown, Patrick worked alongside Corey Graves and Michael Cole as part of the commentary team. Following Michael Cole’s departure from SmackDown to concentrate solely on RAW, Patrick continued his role on the SmackDown commentary team.
As of now, WWE has not officially announced the commentary change involving Kevin Patrick, and there has been no mention of a replacement for his role at this time.
