Jon Moxley Wins IWGP United States Title

Jon Moxley was revealed to be the mystery stalker for Juice Robinson. The title match was announced for his debut in NJPW at the Best Of The Super Juniors finale at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

Moxley and Juice Robinson had an intense match-up where they took each other through a lot. After working through a very stiff contest, Juice landed a Right Hand Of God, but Mox blocked Pulp Friction before Juice blocked Mox’s Dirty Deeds. Then Jon Moxley landed his double arm DDT one more time to win the IWGP United States Championship. Moxley left the ring after giving a traditional bow to all four corners of the ring.

With this win, Jon Moxley became the only person in history to win IWGP Heavyweight United States championship and the WWE United States championship.

Jon Moxley shocked the world when he showed up at AEW Double Or Nothing. And it didn’t take long to find out that Moxley would also work with NJPW. Moxley asked them to keep his appearance under wraps until after Double or Nothing. Once Mox made his NJPW debut official a title match was announced.

Moxley will next face Joey Janela at AEW Fyter Fest on June 29.
