Olympic Gold Medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock Inks a New Deal with WWE

Another Olympic gold medalist signs a WWE contract. 

Tamyra Mensah-Stock who won the gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Games in 68 kilograms freestyle wrestling confirmed that she has signed a new deal with WWE. 

Mensah-Stock broke this news to ESPN during an interview. She has already reported to WWE Performance Center this Monday and is looking forward to making her main roster debut within a year. 

Tamyra Mensah-Stock is the first-ever black woman to win a gold medal in freestyle wrestling. So, it’s safe to say that her goal is definitely achievable. 

During the interview, Tamyra stated that she didn’t want to end her career with the gold medal. So, she did another world championship and won again. Then she felt like it wasn’t fun anymore and then decided to pursue her dream of becoming a WWE superstar. 

Tamyra Mensah-Stock appeared at SummerSlam 2021 along with another Olympic gold medalist who signed with WWE, Gable Steveson.
