Vikingo’s injury has led to changes in the GCW Homecoming match cards. Tony Deppen is now scheduled to face Alex Zayne. Additionally, a six-man Scramble match is also added to the event, featuring Ninja Mack, Komander, Gringo Loco, Arez, Dante Leon, and Cole Radrick.
The GCW Homecoming event is planned as a two-day event on both August 19 and August 20. On day 1, the feature match is a Death Match where Violento Jack will face Matt Tremont. On day 2, the main event is set for the GCW title match, where Blake Christian will defend his title against Masha Slamovich.
Vikingo currently holds the AAA Mega Championship title. Vikingo’s last match was at AAA TripleMania 31 CDMX event, where he successfully defended his title by defeating Daga, Jack Cartwheel, and Mike Bailey.
After the match, Vikingo collapsed backstage and had to be carried out on a stretcher. The next day, he was back on social media, where he shared that he had attended a concert. According to the PW Insider report, Vikingo collapsed at the AAA TripleMania event because of dehydration and insufficient food consumption.
