Damian Priest Barred from Styles vs Edge at WWE WrestleMania Backlash
A new stipulation is added to the AJ Styles vs Edge match at WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 event.
Damian Priest will be barred from ringside during the match. The development comes after AJ defeated Priest at this week’s RAW episode.
AJ Styles and Edge clashed at night 2 of WrestleMania but the outcome was affected by Damian Priest coming to ringside. Edge capitalized on the distraction to hit a spear and get the win.
Edge later revealed that Priest has joined his vision and announced their faction(later called Judgement Day). AJ cut off their segment and attacked them. Judgement Day reverted with an attack on AJ the following week. A rematch was announced between AJ and Edge for WrestleMania Backlash event.
This week at RAW, AJ Styles announced that his match against Damian Priest has a stipulation that if he wins, Priest will be barred from the ringside. During the final moments of the match, Edge tried to interefere, but AJ managed to counter Priest’s reckoning to get the pin.
Post-match, Edge and Priest attacked AJ but he was saved by Finn Balor, who was also tormented by Judgement Day. AJ and Balor then posed with Bullet Club’s Too Sweet. Both Balor and Styles have led Bullet Club at different times.
WWE officially confirmed later that Priest will be barred from the ringside at WrestleMania Backlash.
