Cody Rhodes will face Damian Priest in a one-on-one match at WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE.

On October 23 episode of RAW, Cody Rhodes disrupted the Judgment Day celebration and pointed out to Priest and Balor that they consistently follow Rhea Ripley’s directives. Rhodes and Priest had an argument over how their tag team title match ended last week.

This led to Priest challenging Rhodes to a match at Crown Jewel 2023 PLE. Without any hesitation, Rhodes accepted the challenge. Following their confrontation, a brawl ensued where Jey Uso came to Cody Rhodes’ aid, but Priest targeted Cody Rhodes’ leg, delivering a blow with a steel chair.

Cody Rhodes was then assisted to the trainer’s room for a medical evaluation. However, the match was later officially confirmed for Crown Jewel.

In the main event of the show, Damian Priest defeated Jey Uso in a singles match. Following the match, Balor and Priest continued to attack Jey. This led to Cody coming out to make the save. Cody also tried to target Priest’s leg, but Balor pulled out of the harm.

On October 16 episode of RAW, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso were defeated by Balor and Priest for Undisputed Tag Team titles. The finish came after Priest hit Cody with a low blow and put him through the table. After this, Jimmy Uso hit Jey with a superkick, leading to Balor capitalizing on it with a Coupe de Grace to get the win.

Cody Rhodes’ most recent singles match occurred on the September 18 episode of RAW, in which he emerged victorious against another Judgment Day member in Dominik Mysterio. Will he be able to get a singles win over another member of the faction? He will have to do it with an injured leg this time around.

WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE is scheduled for November 4, 2023, and it will be live from Mohammad Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. United States Championship match is also set for the event where Rey Mysterio will face Logan Paul.
