Cody Rhodes has signed with WWE as per the latest report.

Cody and Brandi left AEW last month after deciding not to renew their deals with the promotion. Ever since, multiple reports changed his status from signing with WWE to undecided and going to some other promotion multiple times.

It was also said that the negotiations between Cody and WWE hit a snag over multiple issues. However, those issues seemed to be resolved as Mike Johnson of PWInsider now reports that Cody Rhodes has signed with WWE.

The report also adds that he has inked the deal 10-14 days back. The current plan for Cody is to debut at Wrestlemania 38 weekend. He is expected to be on the Raw brand.

Cody has been speculated as Seth Rollins’ surprise WrestleMania opponent. Rollins does not have a match at WrestleMania until now and it is heavily speculated that Cody will appear in WWE at the event itself to be a surprise opponent.

This will be Cody’s second stint in WWE after working with the promotion from 2007 to 2016. He also worked during this time under Stardust gimmick. He won the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice and Tag Team titles 4 times.

After being released, Cody went on to work in ROH, IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW before joining All Elite Wrestling as the Executive Vice President in 2019. Cody went on to become the inaugural AEW TNT Champion. He won that title three times with his last stint coming as early as last Christmas.

Keep tuned in for more news and updates from WWE.
