Cruiserweight Title Fatal 4-Way Match Announced For Royal Rumble 2019

Buddy Murphy will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against Akira Tozawa vs Kalisto vs TBD in Fatal 4-Way Match at Royal Rumble 2019

Following his victory against Cedric Alexander at WWE TLC 2018 for the Cruiserweight Title, Buddy Murphy will now have to defend his title in a Fatal 4-Way match at Royal Rumble.

Buddy Murphy asked WWE 205 Live General Manager Maverick for his next challenge upon which Maverick decided to kick-off Royal Rumble 2019 with a bang, announcing a Fatal 4-Way Match for the Cruiserweight title. Three Qualifying Matches would take place to determine who would challenge Murphy for the said match.

In the first match, former Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto beat Lio Rush and become the first constant for Fatal 4-Way. In the second qualifier, another former Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa beat Drew Gulak. The third and final qualifier will take place between another former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander and Hideo Itami.

We may see Buddy Murphy to defend the title against 3 former champions to make an interesting start to Royal Rumble 2019. Although it is speculated that both Buddy Murphy and Cedric Alexander are to be promoted to SmackDown roster in regards to the new changes to be brought in WWE. So, we may see any one of the Akira Tozawa or Kalisto to pin the other superstar with Murphy and Alexander incapacitated out of the ring. Follow this site for more updates.
