AEW Blood & Guts: Complete Match Line up & Rules- Inner Circle vs Pinnacle
AEW will air AEW Dynamite special – Blood and Guts show on 5 May 2021. The event will feature the special main event Blood & Guts Steel Cage match between Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle and MJF’s Pinnacle.
As the storyline goes, MJF joined the Inner Circle last year in what was revealed as his attempt to destroy the stable from inside. In due time, MJF formed his own stable – Pinnacle – comprising of FTR, Shawn Spears and his long-time bodyguard Wardlow and ended up taking out the Inner Circle.
Jericho & Inner Circle later returned the favor. Jericho defeated Pinnacle’s Dash Hardwood in a singles match a few weeks back with Mike Tyson being a special enforcer. Later, it was revealed that the two factions will battle inside the Blood & Guts cage at the May 5th event.
Rules for Blood & Guts Match
As far as the rules go, they are similar to the War Games match from NWA/WCW from the past century and from NXT’s WarGames matches. The complete rules are as below:
- A big steel cage will enclose two rings for this match.
- One member from each faction will start the match for a five minutes round.
- Teams will take turns to sent in a new member in two minutes interval. Therefore, one team will have one member advantage in the match for those two minutes.
- Match officially begins after all ten men have entered the cage
- The winning team is determined by making any opponent submit or surrender (no pinfalls, no count-outs, or by escaping the cage)
Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara will start the match for their respective teams. Pinnacle will have the entry advantage.
AEW Blood & Guts 2021 Complete Match Card
Apart from the Blood & Guts match, the card will have four more matches. Cody Rhodes will face QT Marshall in a singles match. QT turned on Cody & Nightmare Family along with his Nightmare Factory stable.
The top 4 ranked tag team in the latest AEW Rankings will battle in the #1 contenders four-way tag team elimination match for the AEW World Tag Team title shot. The complete lineup for the show is as below:
