WWE has announced the champion vs champion match between RAW Women’s Champion Asuka and NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair for WWE RAW episode of 1 June 2020.

Charlotte Flair was involved in the triple threat #1 contenders match for Asuka’s title. Nia Jax ended up winning that match after she pinned Natalya while Flair was recovering after a leg drop. Afterward, Asuka was seen taunting Flair by saying that Red is not her color apparently. The match was announced with a promo during SmackDown last night.

This will be Charlotte’s second clash with another brand’s champion in the last two weeks. She was defeated by WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley in a singles match on 22 May episode of SmackDown.

What’s more announced for RAW?

Seth Rollins vs Aleister Black match is already announced for the show along with Rey Mysterio’s retirement ceremony. Additionally, the new United States Champion Apollo Crews will also defend his title against an opponent of his choosing.

The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders will also likely compete in another competition outside the ring. The complete advertised line-up for 1 June 2020 edition of WWE RAW will be as follows:

  • Apollo Crews vs Mystery Opponent – WWE United States Championship Match
  • Seth Rollins vs Aleister Black
  • Rey Mysterio’s
  • Asuka vs Charlotte Flair – Champion vs Champion match

Asuka & Nia Jax’s Feud

Asuka is currently feuding with Nia Jax and will face her in the title match at WWE Backlash 2020 PPV. The feud started during the build-up of Money in the Bank PPV where Jax defeated Asuka’s tag team partner Kairi Sane in a singles match. Two weeks back, Nia interrupted Asuka’s championship win celebration and later attacked Kairi Sane backstage. As mentioned above, Nia then won the #1 contenders match to book the title match.
