Ali vs Bate, Breakker, Loser Leaves WWE NXT Matches Set for July 4

NXT has officially announced three new matches for July 4, 2023 episode with clashes between Roxanne Perez & Blair Davenport, The Creed brothers & The Dyad, and Mustafa Ali & Tyler Bate.

During the 27 June episode of NXT(Gold Rush Night 2), Schism was doing a family meeting in the ring. The Dyad expressed their concerns related to Joe Gacy. The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nle and interrupted Schism where The Creed Brothers claimed that they were there to stop Schism from taking over NXT.

Joe Gacy announced that The Dyad will face The Creed Brothers in a tag team match only if they accept the stipulation that the losing team will leave NXT forever. The Creed Brothers were quick to accept the challenge. The Dyad and The Creed Brothers have faced each other many times in the past. Thier most recent clash was on the May 16 episode of NXT where The Creed brothers defeated The Dyad.

During the 14 June episode of NXT, Roxanne Perez defeated Tatum Paxley. After the match, Perez challenged Blair Davenport to a match. Perez also mentioned Davenport’s cheap attacks that she was doing as a mystery attacker. On the 27 June episode of NXT, when Perez was answering the questions of fans on Snapchat backstage, Blair Davenport attacked Perez. WWE later made a match between them official for next week’s show.

In another scheduled match, Tyler Bate will face Mustafa Ali. Mustafa Ali was the special guest referee at the NXT week one Gold Rush event where Wes Lee was defending his NXT North American Championship against Tyler Bate.

During the June 27 episode of NXT, Bate expressed his dissatisfaction with Ali’s performance as the referee during the North American title match at NXT Gold Rush night 1. Bate wanted another title shot but Ali said he should be the next in line. However, instead of a title opportunity, it was confirmed that Ali and Bate will face each other July 4 NXT episode.

Also, Bron Breakker will reveal the next step in his NXT career next week. Breakker was inside Shawn Michaels’ office to close the show and was having an argument with NXT Head. As he came out miffed, Breakker said we would hear from him next week.

An NXT Underground match between Eddy Thorpe and Damon Kemp is also set for next week. The complete line for WWE NXT July 4, 2023 episode, which will be NXT’s Independence Day edition, is as below:
