AEW’s Cash Wheeler Gets Arrested on Aggravated Assault Charges
Cash Wheeler, one of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, got arrested on Friday morning.
On August 18, 2023, Cash Wheeler was taken into custody by the Orlando Police Department and faced charges of committing an act of aggravated assault using a firearm.
According to County records, it indicates that Wheeler went through the processing procedure and was subsequently entered into the proceedings of the Circuit Court.

AEW also commented on the news and mentioned that the company is aware of the charges and is closely observing the situation. AEW also mentioned that Wheeler is actively cooperating with local law enforcement.
Cash Wheeler is currently the AEW World Tag Team champion with Dax Harwood, although FTR is scheduled for AEW All In 2023 PPV event, where FTR will defend their Tag Team titles against The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson).
Cash Wheeler’s recent match was for AEW Trios Championship on the August 12 episode of AEW Collision, where FTR and CM Punk got defeated by House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Mathews, and Brody King).
