AEW Worlds End 2024 Match Card, Date, Time, Location

AEW World Ends 2024 event took place on December 28, 2024. This was the second event in Worlds End series. It took place at Addition Financial Field in Orlando, FL.
The event started with a pre-show at 7 PM ET. The PPV portion started at 8 PM ET. The semifinals and final of second AEW Continental Classic Tournament took place at the show. A 4-way match for AEW World Championship was the main event.

STORYLINES
AEW Continental Classic 2024 Tournament Final: AEW presented the first ever Continental Classic tournament in 2023 which also crowned the first AEW Continental Champion. The final match of that tournament took place at Worlds End 2023. The second edition of the tournament was announced to take place in November & December of 2024, and its final would take place at the Worlds End 2024 event. This match would also serve as the match for the Continental Championship. On November 24, AEW announced the complete list of participants for the tournament. Blue League participants were – Kazuchika Okada(reigning AEW Continental Champion), Kyle Fletcher, Daniel Garcia, Mark Briscoe, Shelton Benjamin, and The Beast Mortos. Gold League Participants were – Darby Allin, Claudio Castagnoli, Will Ospreay, Ricochet, Brody King, and Juice Robinson. The two semifinals and the final match were announced to take place at Worlds End. Ricochet finished at the top of Gold League to set up a match against Kazuchika Okada, who was second in Blue League, in the first semifinal. Kyle Fletcher, winner of Blue League, was set to face Will Ospreay, runner-up in Gold League in the second semifinal.
AEW World Championship Match: At Full Gear 2024 event, Hangman Adam Page attacked AEW World Champion Jon Moxley after his defense against Orange Cassidy in order to assist Christian Cage into cashing in his World title shot. But, Jay White, who defeated Page earlier that night, took out Cage with the Bladerunner. After this, White and Page continued their quest for World title and defeated other Deathriders members Wheeler Yuta and PAC in singles matches. The Deathriders also continued to target Cassidy regularly. On December 11 Dynamite episode, a fatal 4-way match was announced for AEW World title between Moxley, Page, White and Cassidy.
Dynamite Diamond Ring Match: MJF has held Dynamite Diamond Ring since 2019 when it was first introduced. He was involved in a rivalry with Adam Cole through most of the year 2023 when he also held AEW World title. MJF returned from hiatus in May 2024 to interrupt and attack Adam Cole at Double or Nothing. Cole also made his return from injury at WrestleDream 2024 event and challenged MJF. MJF refused to face him, but put a condition for Cole or Roderick Strong to win three matches if they wanted to face him at Full Gear. Page failed to fulfill the condition and MJF defeated Strong at Full Gear. Cole and Kyle O’Reilly were the co-winners of Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal on December 4 Dynamite episode. They clashed in a singles match the following week where Cole beat O’Reilly to get a shot at Dynamite Diamond Ring at Worlds End against MJF.
AEW Women’s Championship Street Fight: On Dynamite December 11 episode, AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May challenged former champion Thunder Rosa to face her in a title match at her choice of time and place. On Collision December 14 episode, Rosa accepted the challenge and said she would face May in a Tijuana Street Fight at Wolds End.
AEW International Championship Match: Powerhouse Hobbs returned from a hiatus due to injury at Dynamite November 6 episode as a mystery partner for Ricochet to face his former stablemates from Don Callis Family in Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. He was involved in two tag team matches against Don Callis Family after this. On December 13 Rampage episode, Hobbs and Mark Davis defeated Takeshita and Lance Archer in a tag team match. After this, Don Callis accused Hobbs of betraying him and said Takeshita would take revenge for this at Worlds Ends.
AEW TBS Women’s Championship Match: Mercedes Mone defeated Kris Statlander at Full Gear 2024 event to retain TBS Women’s title. Statlander challenged her for a rematch during Collision December 21 episode. Later on the same show, Mone defeated Anna Jay and later accepted Statlander’s challenge.
