AEW Stars Brawl at New York Comic Con Panel Discussion
AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, and other AEW stars were part of a big brawl after their panel at the New York Comic-Con on Thursday, 3 October.
AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Jungleboy, Nyla Rose, Awesome Kong, and AEW’s Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes were all part of the panel, which took place at NYCC inside the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. At the end of the fan Q&A session of the panel, a fan dressed as Jericho appeared and praised Jericho.
Moments later, the fan revealed himself to be MJF. The salt of the earth then started ridiculing Jericho over him teaming up with Jake Hager, Santana, Ortiz and Sammy Guevara to beat down Cody Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, and The Young Bucks at this week’s AEW Dynamite premiere on TNT.
Cody then appeared through the crowd and came face-to-face with the world champ Jericho on the stage. The brawl broke down after this and apparently it was Jericho who took the first shot. The brawl continued for a while until the security team brought things under control. You can check the clips below.
Cody Rhodes has emerged as the challenger for Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship. These two will face off at AEW’s next PPV show, Full Gear 2019, on 9 November. This week at AEW Dynamite’s debut episode, Chris Jericho blindsided Cody Rhodes after his match against Sammy Guevara. Later in the night, he was joined by Santana and Ortiz, and later by Sammy Guevara and Jack Hagger, to assault Cody Rhodes and his friends.
