AEW has confirmed a match between Christian Cage and Jungle Boy Jack Perry for AEW Revolution 2023 PPV match card.

In the latest edition of Dynamite, Christian Cage cut a scathing promo against Jack Perry to continue their storyline. Perry appeared on the big screen in a pre-recorded video where he was seen digging a grave with Christian Cage’s name on the tombstone.

Later on Thursday, AEW announced the match between Cage and Perry. The announcement on Twitter also added that it would be a No Holds Barred encounter, fitting for their long storyline.

Christian Cage and Jungle Boy Jack Perry used to be battling side by side since Cage’s arrival at AEW in early 2021 up to June 2022. Cage turned on Perry at Road Rager 2022 when Perry and Luchasaurus lost the AEW Tag Team Titles. Cage revealed that he held a grudge against Perry for eliminating him from Casino Battle Royal earlier in the year.

As the rivalry started, Luchasaurus fell to Christian’s mind games and helped him win against Perry at All Out 2022. Christian got injured at the time and Perry continued to fight Luchasaurus, beating him at Full Gear 2022 in a steel cage match.

After being away for months, Cage returned to Dynamite on February 15, 2023, to attack Perry once again to renew their rivalry. Perry responded with an attack on Cage on February 22 edition but Cage turned it around with a low blow on him.

This is just the eighth match to be announced for AEW Revolution 2023. It is expected that AEW will add at least a couple of matches for the pre-show when the event airs on March 5, 2023. Keep tuned in for the latest updates.
