AEW Revolution: Cassidy & Danhausen Added to AEW Tag Title Match

AEW Revolution 2023 PPV

Orange Cassidy and Danhausen are added to AEW World Tag Team Championship match at AEW Revolution 2023 PPV event.

It was announced earlier that the Gunn Club will defend AEW tag titles in a 3-way match at AEW Revolution this year. However, former champions The Acclaimed invoked a rematch clause to be added to the match to make it a fatal 4-way match.

The two other teams were to be identified via a Battle Royal on February 22 episode of Dynamite and a Casino Battle Royal on March 1 episode of Dynamite. Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal won the Battle Royal last week to be added to the match last week.

Trent Baretta was not medically clear for a match tonight, and therefore, Orange Cassidy and Danhausen replaced Best Friends in the Casino Battle Royal. Cassidy had already defended AEW TNT Championship earlier in the night.

Cassidy and Danhausen entered the match at number 9. They fought off Blackpool Combat Club and the Butcher and the Blade in the end to win the match.

The Gunn Club won AEW World Tag Team Championship from The Acclaimed on February 8 episode of Dynamite after hitting Anthony Bowens with the title belt. This match at Revolution will be their first title defense. AEW Revolution is set for March 5, 2023, at Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.
