AEW will present AEW Revolution 2021 PPV, the second event under the Revolution series, on 7 March 2021 from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. This will be first AEW PPV to take place on Sunday.

AEW Revolution 2021 Match Card

Kenny Omega (with Don Callis) (c) vs Jon Moxley – Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch for AEW World Heavyweight Championship

Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Heavyweight Championship at AEW Winter is Coming special episode. Both men have been feuding ever since. They have faced-off several times in tag team matches. On the 17 February 2021 episode of Dynamite, Kenny Omega & Good Brothers(from Impact) attacked Moxley after his match. Omega revealed that Moxley had inserted a rematch clause in their contract. So, he will give Moxley his rematch at Revolution but he will choose the stipulation as Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch.

Hikaru Shida(c) vs Ryo Mizunami – AEW Women’s Championship Match

Hikaru Shida was announced to face the winner of AEW Women’s Eliminator tournament. The tournament featured 16 women in two different brackets. Ryo Mizunami won the Japan side of bracket. Nyla Rose won America’s side of bracket. Ryo then defeated Nyla Rose on AEW Dynamite episode of 3 March 2021 to become the #1 contender for AEW Women’s Championship.

Young Bucks vs The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho and MJF) (w/ Wardlow)

10 tag teams took part in a tag team battle royal with the winner getting a shot at AEW World Tag Team Championship. The Young Bucks were also part of the match and had the right to choose their opponents if they had won the match. Chris Jericho & MJF from the Inner Circle ended up winning that match. On 24 February episode of Dynamite, MJF and Jericho kidnapped and attacked Papa Buck.

Sting & Darby Allin vs Ricky Straks & Brian Cage – Street Fight

Sting made his AEW debut as he came out to save AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin, Cody Rhodes and others from an assault from Team Taz on the Winter is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite. Since then, he made continued appearances to save Allin from Team Taz. He finally got involved physically after Allin defended his title against Brian Cage at New Year’s Smash Night 2. AEW later announced that Sting & Allin will face Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a tag team Street Fight at AEW Revolution 2021.

Face of The Revolution Ladder Match

AEW announced a Ladder match titled as the “Face of the Revolution” Ladder match. 6 participants will battle for a TNT Championship title shot. Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky and Penta El Zero were announced for the match. Lance Archer defeated Rey Fenix to be added to the match. Max Caster defeated Ten(from Dark Order) to qualify. Tony Khan announced that the last man in the match will be a surprise entry.

Adam Page vs Matt Hardy – Big Money Match

Matt Hardy chased Adam Page and kept asking him to join his stable with Private Party. Page refused initially. On 17 February episode of Dynamite, Page and Hardy went for drinks where Hardy offered him to sign a contract to join him. Hardy believed he had inserted a clause that will see Hardy getting 30% of Page’s total earning.

Next week, Page revealed that he had inserted a few papers of his own with the clause of a match at AEW Revolution. The winner will get his opponent’s earning from first quarter of 2021.

Miro & Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford) vs. Best Friends (Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor)

Orange Cassidy interrupted the wedding of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford where Miro was the best man. Chuck Taylor, who was working as Miro’s Butler, also joined Cassidy. On the 24 February episode of Dynamite, Miro and Sabian were challenged to a match against Taylor and Cassidy which they accepted.
