AEW Announces AEW Revolution 2020 PPV on 29 February
AEW announced it’s next PPV title AEW Revolution to take place on 29 February at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL.
The announcement came during this week’s AEW Dynamite episode. The show will be in conjunction with Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo will run from 28 February to 1 March 2020. This will be the second instance where AEW will be holding an event with another expo. The company earlier hold AEW Fyter Fest alongside CEO gaming expo on 29 June 2019.
Tony Khan commented on the partnership with C2E2 in the press release for the AEW Revolution announcement, “REVOLUTION will be a huge pay-per-view event for AEW, featuring the biggest wrestling card we’ve ever presented, at the heart of a three-day destination event in partnership with C2E2. The experience in the South Loop of Chicago will be unlike anything we’ve seen in wrestling, and it will be all day, all night and all weekend.”
AEW Revolution is slated to air live starting at their usual time of 8 PM ET on 29 February 2019. The show is expected to be succeeded by a one-hour Buy-In pre-show. The event will be available for purchase on iN DEMAND cable operators, DirecTV, DISH Network and B/R Live platforms. Internationally, the event can be purchased via FITE.TV for selected countries.
AEW recently had a partnership with video-on-demand and PPV distributor iN DEMAND to expand its PPV reach. The deal guarantees a minimum of one AEW PPV event per quarter through June 2021. Apart from AEW Revolution, AEW is expected to hold Double or Nothing 2 and All Out 2 for the year 2020.
