AEW Announces First Weekly Rankings, Champions Not Included

AEW has announced its first-ever lists of Top 5 Rankings for Men Singles, Women Singles, and tag team division at the end of the week of November 8, 2019. And by the looks of it, the Champions are not included in the rankings.

AEW Men’s Division Top 5 for the Week of November 8, 2019

In the men’s singles division, Cody Rhodes has topped the ranking by the end of this week with his undefeated record in singles matches. PAC, Adam Page, Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley follow him for the next four rankings respectively. For Jon Moxley, his first AEW match at Fyter Fest against Joey Janela is not accounted in the win-loss record since it was an unsanctioned match. The complete ranking and the win-loss record is as below.

  1. Cody Rhodes (Singles: 3-0-1, Trios: 0-0, Overall: 4-1-1)
  2. PAC (Singles: 3-0-1, Trios: 0-0, Overall: 3-1-1)
  3. “Hangman” Adam Page (Singles: 3-2, Trios: 0-0, Overall: 4-4)
  4. Kenny Omega (Singles 2-2, Trios: 2-1, Overall: 5-4)
  5. Jon Moxley (Singes: 1-0-1, Trios: 0-0, Overall: 1-1-1)

AEW Women’s Division Top 5 for the Week of November 8, 2019

In Women’s singles ranking, Emi Sakura topped the ranking with her win in her only singles match this week at AEW Dark. Sakura is challenging AEW Women’s Champion Riho at 2019. She is followed by Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Allie and Nyla Rose.

  1. Emi Sakura (Singles: 1-0, Overall: 2-2)
  2. Britt Baker (Singles: 2-1, Overall: 4-2)
  3. Hikaru Shida (Singles 2-1, Overall: 3-1)
  4. Allie (Singles: 1-2, Overall: 3-2)
  5. Nyla Rose (Singles: 1-3, Overall: 2-3)

AEW Tag Team Division Top 5 for the Week of November 8, 2019

The two challengers for AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Full Gear 2019, The Lucha Bros and Private Party have topped the rankings at the end of this week. The Young Bucks, Dark Order, and Best Friends complete the top 5. Another point to note here is that 6 men tag matches are not included in this ranking.

  1. The Lucha Bros – Pentagon Jr. (Tag Team: 4-2, Overall: 5-3); Fenix (Tag Team: 4-2, Overall: 5-3)
  2. Private Party – Isiah Kassidy (Tag Team: 3-2, Overall: 3-4); Marq Quen (Tag Team: 3-2, Overall: 3-4)
  3. The Young Bucks – Matt Jackson (Tag Team: 3-2, Overall: 6-3); Nick Jackson (Tag Team: 3-2, Overall: 6-3)
  4. The Dark Order – Stu Grayson (Tag Team: 2-2, Overall: 3-2); Evil Uno (Tag Team: 2-2, Overall: 3-2)
  5. The Best Friends – Trent (Tag Team: 2-3, Overall: 3-5); Chuck Taylor (Tag Team: 2-3, Overall: 3-4)

AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, AEW Women’s Champion Riho and AEW World Tag Team Champions Socal Uncensored, all have been left out of the ranking despite having considerable records. It is expected that the topper of these rankings will emerge as the next challenger for the titles in each category.
