AEW Rampage episode of March 25, 2022, will be a pre-taped show which will be pre-taped with AEW Dynamite on March 23. Ricky Starks will take on Shane “Swerve” Strickland on this show.

Additionally, Dustin Rhodes will face Lance Archer while Dark Order’s Alan “5” Angels and Preston “10” Vance will take on ReDragon’s Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish. QT Marshall will present Hook a certificate of appreciation. Nyle Rose will also be in action.

Dustin Rhodes vs Lance Archer

Archer comes out beating a student of Dustin Rhodes. Dustin comes to save him and slams Archer into the ringpost. Archer stops Dustin from attacking Dan Lambert. Archer takes Dustin into the ring to start the match. He hits a couple of kicks before ripping off a turnbuckle. He hits a few punches on Dustin. Dustin counters with punches as he tried to slam him on the turnbuckle. Dustin clotheslines Archer to the floor. Dustin misses a senton the floor. Archer brings him back to the ring.

Dustin tries to hit punches but fall down with Archer’s one shot. Dustin is bleeding from ear. Archer hits a splash for a two-count. We cut to a break.

Archer hits an elbow to cut off Dustin as we return. Dustin hits quick punches and clotheslines, but Archer does not fall. Archer counters with a belly to belly suplex. Dustin unloads in the corner and hits an elbow. Archer stops a bulldog before Dustin hits a big boot and bulldog. Dustin hits Cross Rhodes for a two-count. Archer hits a suplex. He follows with a full nelson slam for a two-count. Archer hits a chokeslam for a near fall.

Archer goes for the Blackout but Dustin collapses before that. Dustin sends Archer into the exposed turnbuckle and uses jackknife cover to get the pin.

Winner – Dustin Rhodes

Archer attacks Dustin after the match again and slams his face into the steel steps. Some of Dustin’s students run out but Archer takes them all down. Archer hits a chokeslam on Dustin through a table.

Lexi Nair is with Jay Lethal and asks about loss to Cole and falling down in Rankings. Lethal says there are two blemishes on his record, but they both got the wins by cheating. But, there got to be a better way for him. He has got some thinking to do.

Fuego Del Sol is out in the ring. He talks about having to work for getting things. He says everyone considers him an underdogs. He brings up how he stood up to House of Black. He then calls them out saying he is ready to fight. The lights go out and House of Black appear in the ring. They attack Fuego and drop him to the mat one by one. House of Black go to the ramp. Dark Order come out to confront them.

Lexi Nair is with TNT Champion Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page & Dan Lambert. Lambert say TNT title is not open for open challenge now. Page says Sky was in top 5 for a long time, but could not get the title match despite that. Sky says you will need to earn title shots now.

Dark Order(Alan Angels & Preston Vance) vs ReDragon(Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly)

KOR hits kicks to Angels’ legs. Fish comes in for more kicks to the leg. Angels sends Fish out with a low bridge. 10 tags in and drops KOR with a clothesline. He picks up KOR by his hand. Fish tries to run interference but 10 deals with both opponents to take us to the break.

10 was carrying KOR on his back. He tags in Angels who hits a crossbody. He follows with clotheslines, dropkick, enziguiri and an elbow. KOR puts him in Guilottine. 10 spinebusters Fish into KOR to break the hold. ReDragon double team to send Angels to the floor. They hit a kick to the head and a suplex combo to get the pin and the win.

Winner – ReDragon

After the match, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus come to make the save on Dark Order. Adam Cole comes out and runs away with tag team title belts.

Nyla Rose talks about attacking AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa and how she will take her down. Rose replies in her own promo.

Nyla Rose vs Madi Wrenkowski

Rose hits running splash just as the bell rings. Nyla drops her a few times before hitting a knee strike and a powerbomb for the pin and the win.

Winner – Nyla Rose

QT Marshall comes out with Aaron Solow. He brings out Hook for a Certificate of Accomplishment. Hook comes out, looking disinterested as always. QT talks a bit and was handing him a framed certificate. Hook looked at it and slammed Solow’s face in it. Hook left the ring. Danhausen comes out to the ramp and curses him. Hook does get affected by this and goes away.

Shane “Swerve” Strickland vs Ricky Starks

They circle around before Starks takes down with Swerve with a gutwrench. They get to their feets and Starks hits an armdrag. Swerve comes back with quick moves, leg drag and a dropkick. He mocks Starks with his mimicking his pose. Swerve hits punches in the corner and then hits a knee drop. Starks hits back with a big shot and stomps on him in the corner. We cut to a break.

Both men are on the apron now. They trade shots on the apron. Starks manages to sweep Swerve’s leg and drops him on his head. Starks with knee to the chest as drops Swerve to the floor. Back to the ring, Starks gets a two-count. Starks with an overhead throw and then hits a Doctor bomb. Starks misses a moonsault and his ankle is tweaked. Starks hits a Tornado DDT to get a two-count. Starks puts on an abdominal stretch.

Swerve slams him to the corner. He hits a knee to the face, followed by clotheslines and uppercuts. A clothesline in the corner. He hits a leaping flatliner for a two-count. Back and forth counters. Roshombo blocked. Swerve manages to send Starks to the floor and hits a kick to the face. A pump kick from the apron and running shooting star press follows. Back to the ring, he hits a double stomp for a near fall.

Starks with a roll-up for a two-count. Swerve cuts off tope suicida. The referee gets engaged by Starks. Powerhouse Hobbs drops Swerve on the floor and throws him back to the ring. Starks hits Roshombo to get the pin and the win.

Winner – Ricky Starks

After the match, Starks’ ensemble brings out a poster for him on the ramp. Keith Lee throws one crew member through it. Lee drops other members of the ensemble and then gets into the ring to start beating up Powerhouse Hobbs. Swerve is beating up Starks. Referees get in the ring but are unable to contain them as the show goes off the air.


Preview


Swerve vs Starks: Shane Strickland has had a run-in with Team Taz’s Ricky Stark and Powerhouse Hobbs for the past two weeks at Rampage. Starks has been of the opinion that Rampage is his territory, but Strickland believes he can turn it into Swerve House. Who will prevail here?

Dustin Rhodes vs Lance Archer: Both Lance Archer and Dustin Rhodes will return to AEW TV after a gap with a singles match. Will Rhodes be able to deal with Archer’s power?

Nyla Rose in Action: Nyla Rose also made his return to TV earlier this week by attacking Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. She will be in action at Rampage to showcase her strength.

Dark Order vs ReDragon: Dark Order vs ReDragon’s rivalry is as old as ReDragon’s entry into AEW. Another chapter of that rivalry will take place at Rampage this week.

Hook’s Appreciation: QT Marshall wants to present his star pupil Hook with a Certificate of Appreciation. What does QT has in mind here?
