AEW & NJPW Announce “Forbidden Door” Joint PPV
AEW and NJPW have announced their first joint PPV event on June 26, 2022, titled as Forbidden Door.
Tony Khan was supposed to make a huge announcement this week on Dynamite. He came out to the stage and brought out NJPW President Takami Ohbari.
However, before he could announce anything, Adam Cole interrupted from the big screen to reveal AEW & NJPW holding a joint PPV on June 26 at United Center in Chicago, named Forbidden Door.
Jay White then came out to the stage and recalled how he sold out Madison Square Garden single-handedly when NJPW held a joint PPV with ROH(G1 Supercard 2019). He also added that this event is not about NJPW or AEW, but it is about The Undisputed Elite and The Bullet Club.
Both AEW and NJPW later issued a press release to confirm the news. The tickets for the show will go on sale on May 4, 2022. The event will air on Bleacher Report PPV in United States and Canada, on Fite TV in International Market and as an iPPV on NJPW World in Japan.
Keep tuned in for the latest news and updates from NJPW and AEW.
