Both finalists from the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament were set for a rematch at AEW Full Gear. Also, one team from the semifinals was added to the match. Dark Order and Private Party faced off at last week’s AEW Dynamite episode to fight for the last spot where Private Party managed the win.

The match was once again a fast-paced affair with all three teams using the quick moves to hurt each other. Near the end, SCU was looking to do away with Lucha Bros when Private Party tagged themselves in the match. They sidelined Lucha Bros and hit Scorpio Sky with the shooting star press. Scorpio kicked out of the pin and combined with Kazarian to hit their finisher to win the match.

SoCal Uncensored and Lucha Bros have been feuding since the start of AEW Dynamite and then during the whole of the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament. Before the first round match of the tournament, Lucha Bros attacked SCU and left Christopher Daniel injured. In the final, Socal Uncensored defeated Lucha Bros to become the first AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Post-match, Lucha Bros were furious about losing the match and attacked both the opposite teams. At that point, the lights went off and Pentagon’s double appeared in the ring. The double attacked Pentagon Jr. and laid him out with the piledriver. After the attack, the double removed its mask and it turned out to be SCU’s third member Christopher Daniels in his Fallen Angel gimmick from TNA.
