AEW Dynasty 2025 was AEW’s pro wrestling PPV event which was the second event in Dynasty series. It took place on April 6, 2025, at Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Jon Moxley defended AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland in the main event. It started at 8 PM ET onwards and was available via different PPV providers including Amazon Prime and Triller TV.

STORYLINES
AEW World Championship Match: On AEW Dynamite March 12, 2025 episode, an interview featuring Swerve Strickland was shown from Revolution 2025 event where he claimed that he would challenge for AEW World Championship at Dynasty. On Collision March 15, 2025 episode, reigning champion Jon Moxley attacked Swerve as he was cutting a promo. Moxley first hit him with a crowbar on the knee before hitting him with the stomp on his ruptured eardrum. After Moxley retained the title against Adam Copeland on Dynamite March 19 episode, AEW made it official that Swerve would challenge for the title against Moxley at Dynasty.
AEW International Championship Match: Kenny Omega won the AEW International Championship from Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution 2025 event. AEW then announced an Eliminator Tournament where the winner would get to challenge Omega at Dynasty. In the final of the tournament, both Mike Bailey and Ricochet pinned Mark Davis at the same time. AEW then announced that the match would be a triple threat match between Omega, Ricochet and Bailey.
AEW Women’s Championship Match: AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm cut a promo on Dynamite March 12 episode, calling the division to step up to her. Megan Bayne blindsided her with an attack on the stage. Bayne once again dropped Storm as she came out for a brawl on Collision March 15 episode after Bayne defeated Thunder Rosa. Storm was ringside during March 19 Dynamite episode as Bayne faced Kris Statlander. Bayne sent Statlander into Storm, and thus, riled her up. Before they could engage in a post-match brawl, they were stopped by the officials. The match was later announced between them for Dynasty.
ROH World Championship Match: Bandido had been feuding with ROH World Championship Chris Jericho and his Learning Tree faction since February 2025. Bandido got the pin over Jericho in a trios match as he teamed up The Outrunners to beat The Learning Tree. Jericho retained the title against Bandido on Collision February 22 episode. Bandido then teamed up with Powerhouse Hobbs to beat The Learning Tree’s Big Bill and Bryan Keith. In retaliation, during the Zero Hour pre-show of Revolution 2025, The Learning Tree brutally attacked Bandido’s brother Gravity and unmasked him. On Dynamite March 26 episode, Jericho cut a promo claiming that he would take Bandido’s mask as well and challenged him for a Title vs Mask match at Dynasty.
AEW Trios Championship Match: FTR(Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) had been feuding with the Death Riders since winter of 2024. Cope(Adam Copeland) returned from injury at Worlds End 2024 to join them in the fight. It ultimately led to Cope challenging Jon Moxley for AEW World Championship which he failed to win at Revolution 2025 and then on Dynamite March 19 episode. On Dynamite March 26 episode, Rated FTR(Cope, Harwood & Wheeler) sat down for an interview where Harwood expressed that FTR got sidetracked from AEW Tag Team Championship in helping out Cope to challenge for the World title. The trio hashed things out during the interview which ultimately led them to challenge AEW Trios World Champions The Death Riders(PAC, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta).
AEW TNT Championship Match: Daniel Garcia defended AEW TNT Championship against Adam Cole at Collision March 1 episode where the match ended in a no-contest when Shane Taylor Promotions attacked both men. Their rematch took place on Collision March 19 episode where it ended in a time-limit draw. On Collision March 26, Cole said while he might not have beaten Garcia, but he was also not able to finish him. In response, Garcia said he would give Cole one last chance for the title. AEW then announced that this match would take place at Dynasty 2025 event with no time limit and would also have no outside interference.
