AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming 2022 Results & Live Updates Dec 14

How is MJF’s first AEW World title defense will go? If you are intrigued, welcome to the live results blog for AEW Winter is Coming 2022 Dynamite special on December 14, 2022.
MJF will defend AEW World Championship and the right to hold Dynamite Diamond Ring against Ricky Starks. Starks won World Eliminator Tournament and then won Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal to earn a shot at both pieces of memorabilia.
Additionally, The Elites and Death Triangle will clash in match 4 of Best of 7 series over AEW World Trios titles. Death Triangle currently leads the series at 2-1. AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter will defend the title against Hikaru Shida.

- Death Triangle(PAC, Penta El Zero Meido & Rey Fenix) defeated The Elites(Kenny Omega, Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson) in Match 4 of Best of 7 Series via submission.
- “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry defeated Brian Cage in a singles match via pinfall.
- House of Black(Malakai Black, Buddy Mathews & Brody King) defeated The Factory(QT Marshall, Nick Comoroto & Lee Johnson) in a tag team match via pinfall.
- Action Andretti defeated Chris Jericho in a singles match via pinfall.
- Ruby Soho defeated Tay Melo in a singles match via pinfall.
- MJF(c) defeated Ricky Starks in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW World Championship & Dynamite Diamond Ring.
LIVE UPDATES
Death Triangle defeated The Elites in match 4. Penta hits Nick with a hammer on his knee and Fenix put on a kneebar to get a submission.
After the match, Kenny Omega addresses Death Triangle continuing to use the hammer. So, he makes all the further matches No Disqualification matches where everything will be legal.
MJF is asked for his reaction on tonight’s match and he goes on to give a long speech on Ricky Starks.
The Acclaimed come out with Billy Gunn. Max Caster is rapping on the ramp. Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Jeff Jarrett and Sonjay Dutt attack them. Billy Gunn is thrown into the steel steps. Bowens is thrown over into the timekeeper’s area. Jarrett breaks his guitar on Caster’s head. Jarrett and Lethal pose with tag team title belts.
Tony Schiavone is with Jericho Appreciation Society. Chris Jericho says Claudio’s giant swing should be banned. He will now get ready for a rematch with a match against an enhancement talent. Daniel Garcia is asked about losing Pure Title to Wheeler Yuta, but Jericho cuts him off and tells him to follow Sammy Guevara’s instructions from now on.
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs Brian Cage
Perry starts with an arm wrench but Cage is too powerful for him. Cage hits a shoulder tackle to cut him off the ropes. Perry hits hurricanrana and a diving hurricanrana before hitting a dropkick. Cage puts him in the corner and hits a chop. Perry tries to escape the corner by going to the apron but Cage hits a roundhouse kick and pulls him back from the second rope for a suplex. Cage goes bicep curls before throwing Perry over his head to take us to a break.
Perry hits boots in the corner to counter as we return. Perry hits back elbows and chops. He comes in with axe handles and lariat but Cage remains on his feet. Perry hits a DDT to drop him finally. Cage hits uppercuts in the corner before a German suplex and a Full Nelson slam to get a close two-count. Perry counters a brainbuster with a roll-up. Cage hits a big lariat. Perry hits Canadian Destroyer to get a near fall. He puts on a snear trap when the referee was distracted by Prince Nana. Cage taps out but the referee did not see it. Perry then ducks a clothesline from Cage who runs into Nana to knock him off. Perry then rolls up Cage to get a pinfall.

Jungle Boy calls out Big Bill. Stokeley Hathaway comes out and Perry runs to the ramp to attack him. Lee Moriarty and Big Bill run out to attack Perry. Big Bill hits Perry with a chokeslam. Hook comes out and The Firm leave the ring. Hook gets Jungle Boy back to his feet.
Blackpool Combat Club is backstage. Jon Moxley recaps how he, Claudio, and Yuta won their matches last weekend and 2023 will be their year. They continue to warn the roster and put out open challenges for anyone to take. Moxley says he will stomp Sammy Guevara’s face into the mat on Rampage this week. Moxley also calls out “Hangman” Adam Page.
House of Black(Malakai Black, Buddy Mathews & Brody King) vs The Factory(QT Marshall, Nick Comoroto & Lee Johnson)
House of Black make a grand entrance. They attack The Factory and take to the floor. We only have Malakai Black and QT Marshall in the ring. Mathews and King are beating up other members of the Factory on the floor when the bell rings. Black hits a Black Mass kick on Marshall and gets the pin.
Winner – House of Black
Britt Baker is interviewed backstage when Skye Blue cuts her off and challenges her for a match at Rampage. Baker gets upset on being called out but the match is official.
Chris Jericho vs Action Andretti
Andretti slaps Jericho to start. Jericho takes him to corner and rakes his face before hitting some shots. Andretti hits some chops out of the corner before Jericho drops him with a clothesline. Jericho hits some corner clotheslines. Andretti hits a dropkick and follows up with some quick moves. Jericho hits him with a Death Valley Driver. Jericho hits Codebreaker but Andretti kicks out of the pin. The fans cheers as we cut to a break.
Jericho hits some chops in the corner as we return. Andretti hits a big boot to start making a comeback, He hits a dropkick, a standing moonsault and a neckbreaker to get a close two-count. Andretti hits a split-legged moonsault but Jericho gets his knees up. Andretti sends Jericho to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Jericho goes for Boston Crab but Andretti fights out of it. Andretti hits a dropkick and a running shooting star press to get the pin on Jericho.

FTR cuts a promo on The Gunn Club after The A## Boys attacked FTR at ROH Final Battle. They say if their legacy goes through The Gunn Club, they are ready to take them on.
Chris Jericho is throwing tantrums backstage after his loss and throwing things around.
Tay Melo vs Ruby Soho
Melo kicks Ruby on the apron during her entrance. They brawl on the floor. Melo sends Ruby into the barricade. They come into the ring. The referee checks with Ruby before staring the match. Ruby hits a trio of Saito suplexes. Ruby hits No Future Pele kick. Melo rolls out of the ring to avoid a pin. Melo is staggered and tries to leave. Ruby goes to bring her back but Melo drops her with a DDT on the ramp. We cut to a break.
Ruby is battering Melo with forearm shots as we return. She hits a big boots and kicks into the corner. She slams Melo into the turnbuckle. The referee has to pull Soho back as she unloads in the corner. Ruby hits a DDT before going to the top. Melo avoids a senton and hits a pump kick but Ruby kicks out of the pin. They trade chops and slaps in the middle of the ring for a while. Melo hits a Gotch Piledriver for a near fall. Ruby blocks Tay-KO and hits a knee to face. Ruby hits Destination Unknown to get the pin.

Anny Jay AS blindsides Ruby with a big shot. She hits Ruby with a facebuster as Tay recovers.
Alex Marvez is trying to get an update on Adam Page. Page says he does not know when he is getting cleared. Page recalls when he was taken to the hospital after suffering a concussion. He says he was not able to recall his son’s name.
MJF(c) vs Ricky Starks – AEW World Championship & Dynamite Diamond Ring Match
MJF shows off and mocks Starks. Some toying around before they start. MJF hits a kick to midsection as they were going for a lock-up. MJF counters a trip attempt and does a strut. Ricky hits a dropkick to send MJF to the floor and does his signature pose. MJF goes into the crowd as he gets frustrated. Starks hits hip tosses as MJF returns to the ring. He gets a two-count after a roll-up. Starks hits more quick moves before he puts him in an inside cradle for another two-count. MJF uses nefarious means to hurt Starks’ midsection. Starks has to roll to the floor to recover as we cut to a break.
MJF has Starks in an octopus stretch as we return. MJF is playing the crowd. MJF tries to use the ropes for more pressure but the referee removes his hand. Starks counters with a hip toss and then hits a clothesline. Both men are down. They get up at 8. Starks hits a punch, a dropkick, a back elbow in the corner and a lariat. Starks hits a DDT next. MJF blocks Roshambo. Starks blocks hurricanrana. Starks hits Liger Bomb to get a close two-count.
Starks runs into the turnbuckle as MJF sidesteps from the corner. MJF jumps on his elbow. MJF blocks Roshambo again. A couple of pin attempts from both side before MJF hits a powerbomb by dropping Starks on his knee. Starks kicks out of the pin. MJF is frustrated. He stomps on the arm after some kicks to the ribs. Starks looks to create momentum with quick punches. MJF rakes his eyes. Starks hits a spear. Starks has hurt his arm. Both men are down.
Starks crawls over for a cover. MJF puts him in a fujiwara armbar. Starks tries to reach to the ropes but MJF puts the other arm in lock before pulling his leg also. Starks uses his other leg to break free. Starks rolls him up for a close two-count. Some back-and-forth action before MJF slips out of Roshambo again. MJF shields himself with the referee and then hits a low blow behind the referee’s back. MJF then gets Starks in an inside cradle to get the pin.
Winner – MJF
MJF is leaving to the back when Bryan Danielson comes out. MJF runs into the crowd to escape. MJF poses with the belt in the top tier. Bryan Danielson gets the crowd to cheer for Starks as the show goes off the air.
