AEW Dynamite episode of March 16, 2022, will be the St. Patrick’s Day special episode. Airing live from the Freeman Coliseum, San Antonio, TX, the show will feature a stacked card that includes two championship bouts.

Wardlow will challenge Scorpio Sky for the AEW TNT Championship. Dr. Britt Baker DMD will defend her AEW Women’s championship against Thunder Rosa in a steel cage match. Meanwhile, Hangman Adam Page & Jurassic Express will face Adam Cole & ReDragon in a six-man tag-team match.  Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson will also be in action in a tag tea match.

The Undisputed Originals(Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) vs “Hangman” Adam Page, Jungle boy & Luchasaurus

Jungle Boy and Cole start the match. Adam comes out with knee strikes before JB reverses a whip. They run the ropes, ducking each other. Cole blocks an arm drag before JB hits tijeras and a dropkick. Cole tags in Fish who puts JB in arm wringer. JB tags in Luchasaurus and he drops everybody with big overhand chops. Fish trips Luchasaurus on the apron. Luchasaurus is slammed into the post.

Page tags in after a while. Triangle lariat on Cole, Fallaway Slam on Fish and a Plancha on Cole & KOR before a lariat on Fish on the floor. A triplet moonsaults from Page, Luchasaurus and JB on their opponents. ReDragon catch JB by surprise with Demolition Decapitation. We cut to a break.

JB hits a clothesline on Fish and tags out. Luchasaurus comes in with double clotheslines. He takes big shots on all three opponents one by one. Chokeslams on Fish and KOR gets him a two-count. Luchasaurus hits a big uppercut. JB goes for headscissors over the Luchasaurus’ shoulders but KOR ducks and Cole hits a superkick on JB. KOR puts Luchasaurus in a knee bar. Page comes in for the save but gets put in Guillotine from Fish and then from Cole. Page slams Cole into KOR to break the submission move.

Back and forth action between Cole and Page. Everyone starts to get involved with big moves. Jungle Boy hits double doomsday device on ReDragon. Page and Luchasaurus are sent to the floor. Jungle Boy comes in and ReDragon hit him with a double team backdrop before Cole hits Lash shot to get the pin and the win.

Winner – The Undisputed Originals

Tony Schiavone is with Keith Lee, Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs. Lee will take on Max Caster on Rampage. Starks once again warns Lee not to show up on Rampage again this Friday, otherwise he will be taken down. Lee retorts by saying if it is going to be the same way as Stark was down after a punch from Lee last week.

Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley vs Wheeler Yuta & Chuck Taylor

Bryan hits uppercut on neck. Moxley tags in for a suplex. Chops from Moxley before Bryan comes back for more shots. Moxley back in and hits knee to the face. More quick tags follow until Yuta comes out of an arm wrench and hits an enziguiri on Bryan. Taylor gets in and hits quick moves on Bryan. He knocks off Moxley from the apron. Taylor puts on a single leg crab on Bryan. Moxley breaks the submission with a big uppercut.

Bryan and Moxley take over once again and keep pressure on with Taylor. Bryan puts him Indian Deathlock before Moxley came in for a short dropkick. Moxley hits a superplex for a two-count. He puts on a hammerlock to take us to the break.

Yuta comes in as we return and hits dropkick, inverted atomic drop and enziguiri in quick succession. He counters Moxley hits a German suplex bridge for a two-count. Moxley hits a cutter. Bryan hits a bulldog on Yuta as Moxley holds him up. Taylor breaks the pin before Moxley bites off his nose before hitting a paradigm shift on the floor. Bryan hits big kicks to Yuta, who hypes up.

Yuta starts unloading before Moxley comes in. Moxley also eats big chops until Bryan and Moxley drop Yuta with some double team. Yuta kicks out of the pin once again. Bryan hits his signature stomps on his face. Moxley tags in to put him in the bulldog choke to get a submission.

Winner – Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley

After the match, Wheeler Yuta comes back to the ring and offers William Regal a handshake. Regal slaps him and tells him to leave the ring.

FTR are interviewed backstage by Tony Schiavone. They says firing Tully Blanchard was not easy but Blanchard had been checked out after they lost the titles. The Young Bucks come up and say there is no manager they could hire that would ever make them anything better than the second best tag team in AEW.

The Acclaimed are cutting a promo backstage when Starks and Hobbs roll up and tell them to take out Keith Lee. Shane Strickland comes up and tells Starks that he is gonna make Rampage his house. Strickland leaves afte some argument. Caster says he thought Strickland was a rapper.

The Jericho Appreciation Society come out to the ring. Matt Lee sings Chris Jericho’s praises, saying audience get to sing Judas because of Jericho. He has no problem admitting that Jericho is a better man than him. Jeff Parker also says Jericho deserves to be praised. Jericho gets on the mic to say that we are lucky to exist in Chris Jericho era and rant against hurtful things written on social media.

Jericho says the Inner Circle never appreciated him and calls Eddie Kingston for disrespect on him by forcing him to tap out. Jericho then says these men in the ring appreciate him, and that’s why they are the Jericho Appreciation Society. They can’t relate to the rest of the roster, who are only pro wrestlers. A pro-wrestler can never become legendary or a millionaire like him because he is a sports entertainer.

Daniel Garcia gets on the mic and says if Jericho is gonna stand here and call himself a sports entertainer, then he will, too. Jericho then recalls how he donated thousands of dollars to Garcia’s recovery after he got into a car accident in 2019. He then says give 2.0 will use their real names- (something something) Matt Minard and (something something) Angelo Parker. The stupid names from bad creative will never be heard again. Lastley, he says Jake Hager has been the only man he can trust, the hand of the king. And thus begins the new era in AEW, the era of the sports entertainer.

Scorpio Sky(c) vs Wardlow – AEW TNT Championship Match

Sky starts with a side headlock and Wardlow hits a side slam. Sky gets to his feet and hits sidekick to the leg. Wardlow picks him up and slams him to the other corner. After a few uppercuts, Wardlow slams Sky to the mat. Sky gets to the floor. Wardlow follows. Paige Vanzant gets in his face and so does Austin Vanderford. Vanzant and Vanderford kiss before Wardlow goes to powerbomb Vanderford. Sky saves him with a basement slide. We cut to a break as Wardlow is slammed to the apron.

Sky runs his mouth as Wardlow is trying to recover in the corner. Wardlow hits belly-to-belly suplex. He tosses Sky once again. Sky drops him face on the ropes. Wardlow stops a cutter and goes for powerbomb. Sky fights back with punches. Wardlow hits a chokeslam/spinebuster. Wardlow hits a powerbomb to start the powerbomb symphony. He hits the second and third powerbomb before Dan Lambert distracts the referee and Wardlow.

Sky rolls to the floor. Wardlow goes for a powerbomb on the floor but he stops after Shawn Spears comes out to the ramp with steel chair. The referee goes to stop Spears. MJF slams Wardlow into the ring post. The referee returns and Sky rolls him up with school boy pin to get the win.

Winner – Scorpio Sky

After the match, Vanderford and Sky unload on Wardlow until he fights back. Wardlow has MJF in the corner but Spears slams a chair on his back. More beatdown with ATT, Spears and MJF. Wardlow flips Spears off and Spears hits him a chair once more. MJF hands in cash to Dan Lambert and ATT leaves. Wardlow gets back up using the ropes. MJF was waiting for his with a dynamite diamond ring shot.

Jade Cargill and Mark Sterling are interviewed backstage. Jade says she is done waiting for the number 30.

The Hardys vs Private Party

Matt and Kassidy start the match. Private Party try to team up to beat up Matt, but Jeff comes in to make the save. Double team moves from the Hardys follow. A moonsault and a leg drop combo. Jeff jumps off Matt’s back. Quen turn it around and Private hits some double team moves now. Kassidy goads Jeff into coming into the ring and the referee gets busy stopping Jeff. Private Party slam Matt into the ring post to take us to the break.

Quen is in control as we return. Matt hits an uppercut on Kassidy on the floor but Quen hits him with a tope suicida. A double team neckbreaker to get a two-count. Hardy cuts off Kassidy’s jump with a side effect. Jeff gets the hot tag. Jeff hits a clothesline, inverted atomic drop, double leg drop to groin to get a two-count. Side Russian leg sweep and pinning predicament for a two-count. Jeff hits a facebuster on Kassidy. Jeff goes to the top. Quen tries to run interference. Matt hits him with a side effect. Jeff hits a splash on Kassidy for a two-count. Twist of Fate reversed before a double Twist of Fate. Jeff hits Swanton Bomb on Kassidy for the win.

Winner – The Hardys

After the match, Andrade Family Office come out and surround The Hardys. Sting and Darby Allin come out to make the save.

Britt Baker(c) vs Thunder Rosa – AEW Women’s Championship Match

They trade shots to start. Rosa with a kick to the face and a clothesline. Rosa sends Baker into the steel cage. Rosa with more shots as Baker comes back to the ring. Rosa drags Britt’s face across the cage before hitting some shots at her forehead. Rosa unloads with punches from the second rope. Baker is split open. Rosa rams her face into the cage again. Baker counters a suplex and sends Rosa into the cage. The referee checks on Baker’s laceration as we cut to a break.

Rosa hits clotheslines as we return. Rosa hits chair shots and a stunner. A clothesline and double knee strikes follow in the corner. Rosa hits a dropkick to get a two-count. Baker stops Fire Thunder Driver and ends up catching the referee with a superkick. Rosa ends up knocking out the referee to the floor. Rosa hits Fire Thunder Driver and that would have been a pin if the referee was awake.

Rosa goes to the top but Baker hits her with chair shots. Baker pilling the chairs in the corner. She hits an Avalanche Air Raid crash on the chairs. She asks for another referee. Audrey Edwards run in but Rosa kicks out of the pin. The two opponents trade punches. Baker argues with Edwards over the unsuccessfull pin. She sets up more chairs in the corner, and stacks more layers on top of them. Baker and Rosa fight on the top rope. Rosa slams Baker’s face into the cage and Baker falls over the chairs. Rosa comes down and goes for the over but Baker kicks out.

Baker hits a superkick. She brings out thumbtacks bag and slams it Rosa’s face. Baker drops Rosa on the thumbtacks with a back body drop. Baker goes for the Lockjaw but Rosa bites her hand and then slams her hand on the thumbtacks. Rosa hits a powerbomb on thumbtacks. Baker moves to the floor to avoid the pin. Baker hits Rosa with a steel chair. They return to the ring and Rosa hits Fire Thunder Driver for the pin and the win.

Winner – Thunder Rosa(new AEW Women’s Champion)

AEW TNT Championship: Wardlow won the Face of the Revolution match at AEW Revolution 2022 and earned the right to challenge AEW TNT Champion. He is set to receive the promised championship match next week, as he will face the newly crowned champion Scorpio Sky for the TNT championship. 

AEW Women’s World Championship: Thunder Rosa will get another shot at AEW Women’s World Championship, as she is set to challenge the champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD in a steel cage match next week. 

Adam Cole & ReDragon vs Hangman Adam Page & Jurassic Express: AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page will team up with Jungle Boy and Luchasauraus of the Jurassic Express to face The Undisputed Originals in Adam Cole, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly in a six-man tag team match.

Bryan & Moxley: Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson will continue their tag team partnership and will face Wheeler Yuta and Chuck Taylor.
