Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite episode of November 16, 2022, which will be the go-home episode for AEW Full Gear 2022 PPV.

Throughout the show, we will hear from Samoa Joe, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, MJF, Britt Baker and Saraya, ahead of their match at Full Gear. Ethan Page and Bandido will clash in World Title Eliminator semifinal. Death Triangle will defend AEW Trios Championship against AR Fox and Top Flight.

The Acclaimed will release a new single along with Anthony Bowens facing Shane “Swerve” Strickland. Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson will team up to face Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara. Tony Storm faces Anna Jay in Women’s Title Eliminator match.

Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson vs Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara

Claudio goes after Jericho abd Bryan goes after Sammy. Claudio and Jericho to the floor to brawl. Claudio sends Jericho to the barricade. Sammy rakes Bryan’s headwound to try to take advantage. Bryan hits a knee strike to take over. Bryan puts Jericho and Claudio puts Sammy in a stretch to hit hammer elbows. Bryan and Sammy remain in the ring. Bryan goes for Romero special. Claudio tags in and boots Sammy. Sammy hits a dropkick on Claudio after some leapfrogs. Claudio hits him with a super delayed vertical suplex. Jericho comes in and Claudio also hits him with the suplex. Bryan tags in to hit big chop to Sammy. He takes Sammy to the corner to hit more chops and bodykicks.

Sammy rakes his eyes and tags in Jericho. Jericho hits chops on Bryan now. Bryan stomps on his elbow and tags in Claudio. Claudio hits uppercuts before putting on an abdomen stretch for a short while. Jericho hits punches and chops until Bryan tags in. Jericho takes Bryan to his corner and tags in Sammy. Bryan gets dropped with a double shoulder tackle. Sammy gets on the second rope to unload on Bryan. Bryan hulks up and turns things around with chops and punches. Bryan hits an Irish whip before back-to-back dropkicks. Sammy trips him with a drop toe hold. Jericho hits Bryan with a baseball bat from the floor. We cut to a break.

Jericho and Sammy hit a double vertical suplex as we return. Jericho stands on top of Bryan for a two-count. Bryan counters with chops. He ducks the lariat and hits a clothesline with momentum from the ropes. Claudio gets the hot tag and runs riot against both opponents. He throws Jericho to the corner for uppercuts. Jericho counters but Claudio once again gets the uppercuts going. Jericho goes for Walls of Jericho but Claudio counters with a swing attempt. Sammy gets into the ring to distract him. Sammy takes out Bryan with a suicide dive. Jericho puts Claudio in Walls of Jericho. Sammy pulls the ropes when Claudio tries to grab them. Bryan attacks Sammy on the floor before hitting a missile dropkick on Jericho to break the move.

Sammy and Bryan tag in. Bryan hits a big shot to put Sammy on his knee. Bryan hits Yes Kicks. Sammy dodges the final kick, bites Bryan’s head and hits a ripcord knee. Bryan counters GTH and puts on crossface. Sammy drags his legs to the ropes to break it. Bryan puts Sammy on the second rope. Sammy once again bites Bryan and hits a cutter from the second rope. Jericho tags in and hits Lionsault. Claudio breaks the pin. Sammy gets in and Claudio hits Swiss death uppercut. Jericho pushes Claudio to the floor. Bryan drops Jericho and tags in Claudio. Bryan hits Sammy with a suicide dive. Claudio puts Jericho in a swing before putting him in a sharpshooter. Jericho hangs on for a while before tapping out.

We get a quick video package for Jon Moxley vs MJF match at Full Gear.


We get a video package where Sting puts him in a body bag, puts him in the back of a car and takes off. Darby comes out of the bag and sits on the passenger seat. We cut to Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal who mock Sting and Darby. Jeff Jerrett comes in and says its showtime.


The Acclaimed come out with Billy Gunn. They send us to their brand-new music video. The video features Captain Insano(Paul Wight/Big Show). Some artists roleplay Keith Lee and Shane Strickland and call in to ask Captain Insano about statistical probability of Swerve in Our Glory to beat the Acclaimed. Insano and The Acclaimed laugh at them.

Anthony Bowens vs Shane “Swerve” Strickland

Billy Gunn attacks Swerve on the ramp. A swarm of referees takes Swerve back with Max Caster. Bowens then attacks Swerve on the floor. He stomps on Swerve’s hand on the steel steps. They get into the ring and Bowens keeps control. Swerve drops his arm on the ropes to take control. Swerve hits him with tijeras. Bowens goes to the floor and hits a suicide dive. He drops Bowens on the barricade with a side suplex.

Swerve has Bowens in a shoulder stretch as we return from a break. Bowens pushes Swerve into the corner. Swerve then slams Bowens into the corner. He kicks on the shoulder. Swerve goes to the second rope and Bowens sweeps his leg. A gamengiri from Swerve before Bowens runs him over with a forearm. Bowens hits a couple of big punches, drops Swerve with a shoulder tackle and fires elbows to the head. He hits running forearms in the corner before hitting a suplex to get a two-count. Swerve avoids a superkick and rolls through in position to hit a brainbuster.

Swerve hits Swerve kick to get a near fall. Swerve works on the shoulder some more. He hits Swerve stomp from the top rope but Bowens kicks out again. Bowens blocks Swerve kick but Swerve then snaps his shoulder and hits JML driver to get the pin.

We get a video package for Jade Cargill vs Nyla Rose match for Full Gear.


Tony Schiavone brings out Samoa Joe to the ring. We see how Joe took out Wardlow with his title belt last week. The crowd chants Wardlow name as Joe starts to speak. Joe asks Tony if it is shocking that Wardlow failed to recognize the most dangerous person in the ring week after week. If anyone has a problem with this, they can take it to his face. Powerhouse Hobbs comes out and says he was taking out Wardlow before him. Joe asks him to get into the ring and get some. Hobbs walks down the ramp but Wardlow’s music hits. Joe in the ring and Hobbs on the floor get ready for Wardlow. Wardlow runs through the crowd and spears Joe. Hobbs gets into the ring and the whole locker room runs out to separate them. Dark Order and Wardlow remain in the ring. Dark Order does not try to stop Wardlow, who goes to hit a tope suicide on a bunch of wrestlers on the floor.


Britt Baker cuts a promo backstage. She takes offense on Saraya saying she is not a star and has been on TV only for 3 years. Baker says in those 3 years, she went from “happy to here” to a confident star. She says she may not have fought at Madison Square Garden, but she fought at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville when fans could not get to them. They kept the fire for pro-wrestling burning in an era that Saraya does not know about.

Death Triangle(PAC, Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Meido)(c) vs AR Fox & Top Flight(Dante Martin & Darius Martin) – AEW Trios Championship

Darius is starting his return match against Fenix. Fenix hits a chest slap before a bit of back and forth. Darius sends Fenix to the floor with sunset flip. He avoids a trip from Fenix before starting a quick back-and-forth sequence until they come to stalemate. They show respect before Penta and Dante tag in. Dante hits a DDT after jumping around to avoid attack from Penta. AR Fox and Pac tag in. He picks PAC’s ankle to trip him. PAC leapfrogs a few times before he hits a spinning kick to midsection.

Fox comes back and hits a cutter. Fox hits a moonsault on the floor. He hits a senton atomico on PAC in the ring and Penta breaks the pin. Dante and Darius come in to counter Lucha Bros. PAC is triple teamed into a spinebuster. Death Triangle cut off the opposite team with superkicks. Top Flight are thrown to the floor before PAC drops Fox for a near fall. We cut to a break.

Darius sweeps PAC’s leg and hits a running kick and a brainbuster to get a two-count. Dante tags in and so does Fenix. Darius hits a tornado DDT and Dante hits a side slam. Penta is thrown to the floor along with PAC and Fenix. All three of Fox and Martin Brothers hit dives on their opponents. Fenix fights off Dante and Darius but Fox hits him with DDT. Fox hits a frog splash and PAC had to break the pin. Fenix hits a heel kick. Penta tags in to hit another kick. Rey and Penta hits Fear Factor. Rey takes out Top Flight on the floor. PAC hits black arrow to get the pin.

Winner – Death Triangle

PAC takes the mic and asks if Death Triangle are stupid. He says if there are certain individuals think that they can make their triumphant return to the company at Full Gear, they are wrong. PAC invites them(referring to The Elites) to bring the heat. Suddenly, a clock starts ticking on the screen. Death Triangle’s match graphic get up on the screen with no opponent at first. The Elites are then revealed as their opponents.


Ricky Starks says he was not cleared last week, but he will face Lance Archer at Rampage this week.

Bandido vs Ethan Page – World Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinal

Ethan Page comes out with Stokeley Hathaway and takes the mic during his entrance. He says he is gonna walk through Bandido and become #1 contender at Full Gear to face whoever the champ is at Winter is Coming to become the AEW World Champion. Bandido makes his entrance next.

Page starts with a side headlock. Bandido changes it into an armwrench. Page counters but Bandido turns it into a hammerlock. Bandido breaks the grip and points finger guns at him. Page hits a kick to midsection. Bandido runs around and hits a headscissors. Bandido hits an uppercut in the corner. Page blocks a suplex but Bandido counters to hit one the suplex in the end. Hathaway pulls Bandido’s leg to give Page a chance to blindside Bandido. We cut to a break.

Page was going for Ego’s edge but Bandido slips out and sends him into the turnbuckle with drop toe hold. He sends Page to the floor and hits quick kicks from the apron before hitting a moonsault. He hits a tornilo when they return to the ring to get a close two-count. Page grabs onto the ropes to block 21plex. Page hits a springboard tornado DDT to get a two-count. He goes for Avalanche Ego’s Edge but Bandido counters with avalanche hurricanrana. Bandido hits one handed military press slam.

Bandido hits a frog splash after an Eddie Guerrero tribute, but Page kcis out of a near fall. Bandido goes to the top for tornillo but Page trips him. Page goes to the top. Bandido joins him but Page hits him with a body slam and then with a flying shoulder. Page hits Ego’s Edge to get the pin.

Winner – Ethan Page

We get a video package for Steel Cage match between Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.


Saraya gets interviewed backstage and she says she feel fantastic to be able to get into the ring again. She takes offense on Britt Baker saying she came here for an opportunity, but she choose to be here and want to face the best which is Baker.


We get a video package for Jun Yakinama & Takeshita vs Eddie Kingston & Ortiz match.

Toni Storm vs Anna Jay – Women’s Title Eliminator

Anna ducks the lock-up and mocks toni. Toni puts her in a side headlock before a takedown. Storm hits a shoulder tackle, a kick and a high boot. She hits a monkey flip before Anna trips her on the second rope. Anna hits a backstabber before a dropkick in the corner. We cut to a break.

They are trading punches as we return. Anna hits a knee to midsection. Toni takes her down with a Thesz press. She unloads with more blows, a clothesline and a fisherman suplex to get a two-count. Anna grabs the ropes before Toni could lock in the cloverleaf. Toni hits a hip attack to knock her off the apron. Anna sends her into the steel steps and her finisher on the floor. Anna hits Glam Slam in the ring to get a two-count. Storm counters the Queenslayer and hits shotgun dropkick. Storm hits a hip attack in the corner. She puts on the cloverleaf before switching to sharpshooter to get the submission.

Winner – Toni Storm

Jamie Hayter walks down the ramp to have a face-off with Toni Storm. They argue off the mic and Storm shows off the title.

Who is Jon Moxley? Who is MJF?

Jon Moxley comes out with William Regal. He takes the mic and asks who is Jon Moxley. He answers that he is the greatest professional wrestler in the world. He talks shit and back it up. He has travelled the world and taken on toughest challenger. He has won and defined AEW World Championship. The announcers say he likes to fight like it is good thing. But, he is literally sick in his head. He is addicted to adrleline and hurting his opponents.

Last week, Moxley asked who exactly is MJF, and he scouts his opponents. He found out that MJF is a really good singer. He has exactly one win in past six month, took a summer vacation, came back in a halloween mask, somebody handed him the casino poker chip and he is getting a shot at World title. So, he should be excused if Moxley is not shaking in his boot. Mox says he challenges MJF to show some guts and show him why he is the guture of the industry.

Stokeley Hathaway comes down the ramp while Lee Moriarty and others from the Firm rush to the ring to attack Moxley. The Firm beat up Moxley for a while. MJF’s music hits. He drops Moriarty and the Gunn Club on the ramp. He hits a lowblow on Moriarty. He ducks a boot from Ethan Page which lands on Moriarty. MJF flicks at Page’s eyes and hits another low blow. He takes the mic and tells The Firm to get out of there. He starts to cut a promo on Moxley now.

MJF says he did not save Moxley because he likes him, but because he does not want any excuses from his fans. His ultimate goal in the business was to become the best professional wrestler in the world. He warns Moxley that he is not the same kid which Moxley faced first time in his career. He gonna dump him on his head and become the world champion. MJF brings up how Moxley said he did not see any devil. But, the greatest trick the devil has pulled is to convince the world that it does not exist. He is Maxwell Jacob Friedman and he is better than you.

Moxley snaps the mic from him and says he never saw what is great about MJF. But, this weekend at Full Gear, we will see. And if he does not find it, he will pull it out of MJF. At Full Gear, training wheels come off. Moxley pushes MJF aside as he leaves the ring.
