Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite episode of March 22, 2023, which will be live from Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, MO.

The biggest attraction for this show is the first showdown between Kenny Omega and El Hijo Del Vikingo. A trios match is set up with Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin and Sting on one side and Kip Sabian, The Butcher and The Blade on the other side.

The Gunns would defend AEW Tag Team Championship for the second time against Top Flight – Dante Martin and Darius Martin. The rivalry between Blackpool Combat Club and Dark Order will continue with a match between Jon Moxley and Stu Grayson.

Stokely Hathaway will face Hook in a No Holds Barred match. The Outcasts’ Toni Storm will take on an AEW Original in Skye Blue. We can also expect to hear from AEW World Champion MJF once again after Jack Perry, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara.

  • Orange Cassidy, Sting & Darby Allin defeated Kip Sabian, The Butcher & The Blade in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • The Gunns(Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn)(c) defeated Top Flight(Dante Martin & Darius Martin) in a tag team via pinfall to retain AEW Tag Team Championship.
  • Hook defeated Stokely Hathaway in a No Holds Barred match via submission.
  • Jon Moxley defeated Stu Grayson in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Toni Storm defeated Skye Blue in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Kenny Omega defeated El Hijo Del Vikingo in a singles match via pinfall.

LIVE UPDATES

We see Hangman Adam Page gets into an ambulance from the arena which had The Young Bucks. We are told The Young Bucks were attacked before the show started. Page gets into the ambulance. Kenny Omega stays back due to his match against El Hijo del Vikingo.

Orange Cassidy, Sting & Darby Allin vs Kip Sabian, The Butcher & The Blade

We missed the first half of the match due to some streaming issues, and they will be added after the show.

Sting has Sabian in a Scorpion Deathlock. Butcher and Blade come and unload on Sting to break the lock. Darby comes in and works with Sting to work against Butcher & Blade. Butcher throw Sting and Darby out. Orange Cassidy hits a Stundog Millionare to Butcher. Sabian attacked Cassidy from behind. Sting comes back and hits Sabian with Scorpion Death Drop to get the pinfall.

After the match, Cassidy puts his glasses on Sting as he poses.


We get a promo from MJF ranting against Darby Allin, Jack Perry and Sammy Guevara for ruining his re-bar mitzvah last week.


We get a video package for El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Kenny Omega match later tonight. We are also told that Bradon Cutler has said it was Blackpool Combat Club who attacked The Young Bucks.

The Gunns(Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn)(c) vs Top Flight(Dante Martin & Darius Martin) – AEW Tag Team Championship

Colten starts against Dante with a chest slap. Dante counters with an armdrag. Austin comes in and so does Darius to double team against the champions and clothesline them to the floor. Colten and Dante tag back in. Dante hits Austin with an elbow as Colten throws him to the ropes. Colten distracts the referee and Austin drops Dante’s face on the ropes. We cut to a break.

Dante skips past The Gunns to tag in Darius as we return. Darius hits quick clotheslines and thrust kicks on their opponents. He hits a German suplex on Austin before a Spanish Fly on Colten. Dante tags back in and hits Austin with a tilt a Whirl Urinage. Darius comes in and attacks Colten when he tries to interfere. Dante hits Double Jump Nosedive on Austin but Colten breaks the pin. the Kingdom attack Darius on the floor. Dante hits them with a suicide dive. He comes back in and The Gunns hit Big Rig to get the pinfall.

Winners- The Gunns

FTR come out after the match. The Gunns tell them that they are losers and they do not want to hear anything from them. FTR offer them that they will not challenge them again if they lose. The Gunns say there is nothing they can offer them for a rematch. FTR say they will not team together if they lose. The Gunns decline again. FTR say they will leave AEW if they lose. The Gunns finally accept the condition for rematch.


Jade Cargill is backstage with Mark Sterling and Leila Gray for an interview. Sterling tells us about Cease & Desist order on Taya Valkyrie to stop using The Jaded as her finisher. Gray says she will personally hand the order to Taya at Rampage this week.

Hook vs Stokely Hathaway – No Holds Barred

Stokely Hathaway takes the mic before the match begins. He says he is not medically cleared for tonight and he retires from in-ring competition. He hands the note to Justin Roberts which is just a piece of paper with “He is Sick” written on it. The referee rips the note and rings the bell. Stokely runs away into the crowd. Hook chases him down and brings him back. Hook no-sells a running tackle from Stokely. Hook hits a German suplex.

Hook gets a guard rail into the ring. Stokely sprays at his face with fire extinguisher. Stokely takes a steel chair but Hook snatches it away from him. Hook slams a chair shot to his back. Hook throws Stokely on the guard rail set up in the corner. Hook goes for the pin but stops in between and puts Stokely in RedRum to get a submission.

Cole Opponent Next Week!

Adam Cole comes out to the ring. Cole says he is feeling great ahead of his return to the ring next week. He wants to talk about his opponent. Daniel Garcia comes out to interrupt him. Garcia says he has become a legend in AEW while Cole was gone. As he has also become a locker room leader, he wants to put Cole in his place. Garcia says he defeated Brody King, Ricky Starks and Bryan Danielson in the past 9 months while Cole was playing video games at home. Garcia says he has been more main events at Dynamite than anyone else and asks what is special about Cole.

Cole says the problem with Garcia is the company he keeps. JAS gives him a false sense of security and overconfidence. Cole says he was hoping and praying to get second chance in the past 9 months at home. And now that he is getting a second chance, he would be happy to face Garcia. He wants to send a message to locker room that he is back. Cole says next week’s Dynamite would be a great night for the fans but not for him.


Alex Marvez tries to get update on The Young Bucks as he gets into Kenny Omega’s room. Kenny Omega is lashing on Don Callis for blocking him to go with the Young Bucks in the ambulance. Callis says he is a glass half full guy and The Young Bucks not being there is good for Omega as he can focus more. Callis looks into the camera and says Omega vs Del Vikingo will blow the roof off, and The God of Pro-Wrestling is back.

Jon Moxley vs Stu Grayson

Stu tackles Moxley in the corner and hits some shoulder blocks. Moxley hits back woth chops before Stu hits chops of his own. Moxley boots his face into the corner before getting a side headlock on. Stu gets his shoulders up when Moxley goes for a pin. A quic back and forth before Moxley slips to the floor. He hits a saito suplex and tackles Stu into the barricade to take us to a break.

Stu kicks out of the pin after a piledriver and stomps to the face. Mox hits kicks to the chest. Stu hulks up and flattens Mox. He hits hammer elbows before a springboard moonsault to get a two-count. Stu hits a suicide dive on Yuta and Claudio. He drops Mox with a big shot when he returns to the ring. Stu hits a 450-splash to get a near fall.

Stu signals to finish off Moxley but Mox counters from fireman’s carry position to put on a bulldog choke. Mox changes grop and hits knee strikes to Stu’s face before putting on a rear naked choke. Stu breaks it with cannonball in the corner to crash Mox in to the turnbuckle. Stu hits a backflip kick. He gets to the top. Mox meets him and rakes his back. Mox hits avalanche Death Rider to get the pinfall.

Winner – Jon Moxley

Ricky Starks is backstage with Renee Paquette and says he is frustrated with all talks and no action week after week. He puts on an open challenge to Juice Robinson to face him at Rampage this week.


We cut to QTV where the lady with the camera last week says she has identified a new prospect in Rey Fenix and they all mock. QT says Powerhouse Hobbs has put out another open challenge this week at Rampage.

Toni Storm vs Skye Blue

Ruby tackles Skye to the corner just as the bell rings. Storm keeps control with some quick moves. Skye fires back with some punches. She hits a hurricanrana off the apron to drop Storm on the floor. Skye goes to the top but Storm drops her off the top with a big shot. Toni hits a hip attack to knock Skye off the apron. Saraya and Ruby beat up Skye as Storm distracted the referee. Storm hits some chops against the ring post. Skye ducks a chop and Storm hurts her arm. Skye goes to attack Ruby but Storm runs her over from behind. We cut to a break.

Skye throws around Storm as we return. She hits a roundhouse kick from the apron before hitting a diving crossbody. She hits a tijeras and a rising knee strike before an enzuigiri to get a two-count. Storm hits a DDT to get back into the match to get a two-count. Skye blocks a hop attack. Ruby distracts the referee as Skye hits a sunset flip. Storm hits back with a shotgun dropkick. She hits a hip attack in the corner and Storm Zero to get the pinfall.

Winner – Toni Storm

After the match, Ruby and Saraya gets into the ring but Riho and Willow Nightingale run out quickly before they can attack Skye.


Stu Grayson is checked backstage. He has Evil Uno with him. Blackpool Combat Club attack them.

El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Kenny Omega

Vikingo hits a tope suicida on Omega during his entrance. He hits another dive before taking Omega into the ring. He hits a dropkick before some shots in the corner. Omega turns it around and hits punches. The bell rings and Omega misses a corner splash. Vikingo hits an enzuigiri in the corner before a corkscrew kick and running double knees.

Vikingo hits a shooting star press on the floor. Back to the ring, Vikingo hits a springboard 450-splash to get a two-count. Vikingo hits an enzuigiri before Omega hits big chops to get back into the match. He hits some quick jabs and tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He hits a brainbuster to get a two-count. Omega kicks him out of the ring to send him into the barricade. Omega brings out a table and sets it up on the floor. We cut to a break.

Omega hits some puches as we return. Vikingo hits a hurricanrana. They trade shots on the apron. Omega kicks him back. Vikingo blocks a move but Omega drops him with a monkey flip off the apron. Vikingo block snap dragon suplex and hits a dragonrana from the apron to the floor.

Omega hits a headbutt to counter Vikingo. Vikingo counters a powerbomb off the top with a hurricanrana and hits a twisting splash to get a near fall. Omega hits a trio of powerbombs but Vikingo kicks out of the pin. Omega hits V-Trigger and picks Vikingo up for One Winged Angel. Vikingo hits punches to get back down. He hits another hurricanrana. Omega slips out to the table set up at ringside. Vikingo hits a springboard 630 senton to put Omega through the table.

Both men are down but they beat the countdown. Vikingo covers Omega to get a near fall. They trade punches while being on their knees. Vikingo nails some forearm before Kenny hits a V-Trigger. Vikingo hits a sunset flip powerbomb to get another near fall. Vikingo goes to the top but Omega gets away from 630 senton. Omega hits V-Trigger and One Winged Angel to get the pinfall.

Tony Schiavone gets into the ring to interview Kenny. Kenny says he does not know how he keeps doing this. Blackpool Combat Club attack Kenny and beat him up. An Ambulance siren is heard and we see Hangman Page returning to the arena in one of the Ambulance. Page rushes to the ring with something in his hand. BCC trio leave the ring. Page stares them down as Don Callis checks on Omega. Callis goes to tell Page something. Page ignores him and continues to look at BCC. Callis drops down to the mat and acts like Page hit him. Omega wakes up and Callis says Page hit him. Omega and Page argue to close the show.
