AEW Dynamite episode of December 20, 2023, saw the final league matches from Gold League from Continental Classic with the qualification for the league semifinals at stake. The show also featured crucial segments featuring MJF and Samoa Joe.

Roderick Strong faced Komander in a singles match. Saraya vs Riho match determined Toni Storm’s challenger for Women’s title at World’s End. Tune in below for the results from AEW Dynamite December 20, 2023.

RESULTS


Swerve Strickland defeated Rush in Continental Classic Gold League Match via pinfall after hitting House Call and Swerve Stomp.

Chris Jericho confirmed that Kenny Omega is out of AEW Worlds End after suffering from Diverticulitis. They are still deciding on what to do next, but Kenny’s health is the most important thing for now.

Mark Briscoe defeated Jay Lethal in Continental Classic Gold Leagye Match via pinfall after hitting the second Jay Driller of the match. This was Briscoe’s first win in the tournament.

We saw the clip of MJF getting drafted to Jew Sports Hall of Fame.

Wardlow got a vignette talking about MJF once again. He said MFJ would have to pay for his sins and he would bring down devil to his knees.

Samoa Joe accused MJF of being the devil, arguing that MJF was the only one whose footage was not seen when attacked by the devil’s group. MJF came out and said if Joe had such a doubt, why are they waiting for Worlds End to fight. They were about to fight when masked men attack them. They clear the ring, but more masked men come to surround the ring. The lights went out and Devil’s message appeared on the screen where he challenged MJF to defend ROH Tag Team Championship against his team next week. MJF asked Joe if he would tag with him. Joe accepted the challenge and left the ring in anger.

Backstage, Rocky Romero asked Orange Cassidy for a shot at AEW International Championship as he was coming off a title reign as CMLL Welterweight Champion. Cassidy accepted the challenge for this week’s Rampage.

Riho defeated Saraya via pinfall after running knees to get the pinfall to get a title shot against Toni Storm for Women’s Championship at AEW Worlds End.

Toni Storm got into the ring and Riho attacked her, before hitting 619. Mariah May ran over Riho with the women’s title belt. Toni did not react to May in a positive manner, though.

Toni Schiavone read a written message from Christian Cage where he said Cage would return from his vacation at Collision this Saturday where he would also address the challenge from Adam Copelan for a rematch for TNT title.

MJF and Samoa Joe were arguing backstage. MJF left and found a mask outside The Mogul Embassy locker room. He pulled out Prince Nana before Swerve Strickland confronted him. MJF and Swerve traded words before argued that Swerve hates Hangman and could have framed Hagman with beer bottle attack on him two weeks ago. As their argument got heated, Swerve teased the rest of the Mogul Embassy getting involved. Samoa Joe came in to stand with MJF before taking him away.

Roderick Strong defeated Komander in a singles match via pinfall by countering a dive from Komander mid-air with knee strike, following it with End Of Heartache. 

Jay White defeated Jon Moxley in Continental Classic Gold League Match via pinfall after hitting Blade Runner. White worked on Moxley’s knee during the match.

White, Moxley and Swerve Strickland are in a three-way tie from Gold League and will clash in a triple threat match next week. White attacked Moxley’s knee after the match also after Swerve came out to the stage for a staredown.
