AEW Dynamite episode of April 10, 2024, has all the eyes on it due to AEW claiming to release backstage footage from All In 2023 PPV. Although, it is widely reported that the footage features CM Punk’s Brawl In incident, but what exactly is AEW going to show us. The Young Bucks are going to review this footage.

Other than this, Dusty Rhodes is set to fight for a shot at AEW World Championship just days after his younger brother Cody Rhodes became the WWE Champion. He will face Samoa Joe in a title eliminator. AEW has a title match in form of Adam Copeland vs Penta El Zero Meido TNT Championship match.

AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm will host Charleston Championship Champagne Toast which will feature her challenger at Dynasty 2024 PPV Thunder Rosa. Mariah May is set for a singles match against Anna Jay. Chris Jericho, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata are set to face Shane Taylor Promotions in a trios match.

RESULTS & UPDATES

Samoa Joe came out for his match but was attacked by Swerve Strickland on the stage. Swerve took him off the ramp. Joe fought back and set up a table but Swerve countered and speared Joe through the table. Joe’s head hit the table. He was checked by the medical team and his match was called off.

We cut to a recap of Trent Beretta turning on Orange Cassidy last week. Renee Paquette was backstage outside Orange Cassidy’s room. She told us that Cassidy would compete at Rampage this week, where he would also address Beretta.

Adam Copeland defeated Penta El Zero Meido in a singles match. Penta dominated the first half before Copeland got back into the match during the commercials. Before the finish, Copeland inadvertantly hit Alex Abrahantes with a spear on the floor when he was going after Penta. Penta replied with several superkicks before Copeland hit a spear to count a springboard move to get a pinfall.

The lights went out after the match and Julia Hart was on the apron distracting Copeland when it came back. Brody King attacked Copeland from behind. Willow Nightingale came out and started beating up Julia. Brody tried to separate them. This allowed Copeland to recover and knock him out of the ring.

Chris Jericho was backstage with Hook and Katsuyori Shibata where he explained the complete game plan for their tag team match tonight. Jericho was acting all superior saying that Hook and Shibata can learn under learning tree that is Jericho.

ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe and Eddie Kingston were backstage where they briefly talked about their title match at Supercard of honor. Copeland, Willow and Stokeley Hathaway came in. Stokeley tried to book Willow vs Copeland for TNT title. Copeland asked Willow if she was down for a mixed tag team match next week against Julia and Brody. Willow agreed.

We cut to The Young Bucks backstage where they were ready to review the footage from All In. They explain how they lost to FTR at All In, but there was an incident backstage. They explained that the incident involved “the scapegoat” Jack Perry and another individual who made it all about himself, who is good friends with FTR. Matthew even argued FTR were the masterminds of the incident. The Young Bucks then said they were distracted by it as they were handling the situation backstage, giving answers to the journalists and did not have time to even hydrate. They show the footage(with no audio) where CM Punk came to Jack Perry backstage at All In. Samoa Joe was strolling near by. Punk and Perry argued for a while before Punk shoved Perry down and put him in a choke before Joe quickly intervened to get them separated. Joe held Perry back while Punk was surrounded by others around them. The Young Bucks said that after all this, FTR were offering handshakes in the ring.

FTR came out to the ring and were offended by the footage being shown while everyone had left the incident in the past. They cut a promo against the Young Bucks’ attitude.

We see a video package from Bryan Danielson discussing his match against Will Ospreay.

Will Ospreay came out to ringside for an interview at ringside. He first addressed comments about him being afraid of the grind before saying that Danielson is a living legend, but the only way he can beat him is by grounding him. He added that it’s time to show the world that he is the best wrestler.

Shane Taylor Promotions(Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty & Anthony Ogogo) defeated Chris Jericho, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata in a tag team match via pinfall. Jericho and Shibata had issued during the match. Shibata had locked in a sleeper on Moriarty. Hook wanted to tag in, but Jericho pulled him off the apron. Taylor hit Shibata to break the submission. Moriarty then hit Shibata with a flatliner to get the pinfall while Jericho and Hook were arguing on the floor.

Dustin Rhodes was backstage with Renee Paquette who told him that Samoa Joe was cleared for their match tonight despite the attack. Rhodes said his plan for the match would not change for tonight.

Kazuchika Okada defeated Cristiano Argento in a singles match within a minute by hitting a Rainmaker to get the pinfall.

After the match, Okada accepted PAC’s challenge for Dynasty to defend his AEW Continental Championship. PAC was making his entrance when The Young Bucks attacked him. FTR came out to brawl with The Bucks but Okada hit them with a steel chair. He then smacked the chair on PAC’s head.

Renee Paquette brought out Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm for Charleston Championship Champagne Toast. Before anyone could speak, Storm threw the glass of champagne in Rosa’s face and then threw a tray at her. Storm rubbed Rosa’s face paint off her. Deonna Purrazzo ran out to check on Rosa, but Rosa pushed her aside.

Mariah May defeated Anna Jay in a singles match. Jay was going for Gory bomb but May countered it into a pinning position and got the three count.

After the match, Jay put May in queenslayer. Mina Shirakawa, May’s tag team partner from Stardom, ran out for the save. The two women celebrated their reunion with toast.

Tony Schiavone sat down with Mercedes Mone where she talked about her in-ring debut for AEW Double Or Nothing 2024. She also brought up how she was injured during her match against Willow Nightingale before she came to AEW. The lights suddenly went out. We hear chaos. Mone was laid out when the lights came back on.

Samoa Joe defeated Dustin Rhodes in AEW World Championship eliminator match. Joe brought out a chain with him. The referee stopped him from using it, but Joe hit Dustin with his title belt while the referee was putting out the chain and got the pinfall.

After the match, Joe put Dustin in coquina clutch. Swerve Strickland hit him with a dropkick to break the lock. Swerve hit Joe with the chain before Joe escaped. Swerve and Prince Nana posed with AEW World Championship to close the show.
