Read below to check the complete preview and match card of AEW Dynamite May 3, 2023.
MJF & Sammy Guevara vs Jungle Boy & Darby Allin
Last week, MJF helped Sammy by throwing a skateboard to Darby Allin which disqualified the latter, resulting in Sammy winning the pillars tournament. However, Tony Khan later announced that MJF & Sammy will team up to face Jack Perry & Darby Allin and if Darby and Perry manage to win the match, then they will be added to the main event of Double or Nothing. Will MJF and Sammy Guevara manage to keep the main event of Double or Nothing as a singles match?
Sammy’s wife Tay Melo was very upset last week at him for taking a big fat cheque from MJF to lay down at Double or Nothing. Melo recalled how Sammy always wanted to be a World Champion, but has now become ready to throw that opportunity just for some money. Sammy’s thoughts appeared to be changing after Tay’s rant. Will that affect the result of this tag team match?
Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bandido & Orange Cassidy vs Jericho Appreciation Society
Last week, Roderick Strong made his AEW debut and saved Adam Cole from an attack by Jericho Appreciation Society after Orange Cassidy and Bandido could not measure up to the heel faction. This Wednesday, Roderick Strong will make his in-ring debut as he teams up with Cole, Bandido, and Cassidy to face Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, Jake Hager, and Daniel Garcia of JAS. Chris Jericho will be present at the commentary during this match.
Saraya vs Willow Nightingale
Saraya, who hasn’t wrestled on Dynamite since the February 22 episode, will finally be in action as she collides with Willow Nightingale in a singles match. The Outcasts will continue their months-old rivalry against The Originals. Saraya & Toni Storm turned heel by attacking Willow a few months ago. Will Willow Nightingale be able to take revenge?
Ricky Starks vs Juice Robinson
Ricky Starks was set to collide against Juice Robinson a few weeks ago, but he was attacked by Jay White & Robinson before the match even started. Last week on Rampage, the Jay White & Juice Robinson defeated Starks and Spears in a tag team match. The singles match was announced after Bullet Club Gold once again used heel tactics to win the match. Will Ricky Starks be able to get his hands on Juice Robinson or will Jay White interfere in the match again?
Trios Battle Royal
AEW also announced a trios battle royal called “Tres de Mayo Battle Royal” for this Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite. The participants of this match are as follows:
- Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver)
- The Acclaimed (Billy Gunn, Anthony Bowens, and Max Caster)
- Powerhouse Hobbs, QT Marshall, and Aaron Solo
- Lucha Bros & Vikingo
- Kip Sabian, The Butcher & The Blade
- Ari Daivari and The Varsity Athletes (Josh Woods & Tony Nese)
What Else to Expect?
The Elite are set to address the fans just a week before Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley will collide in a steel cage match. Will Blackpool Combat Club try to hurt Omega to give Moxley an advantage in the match?
Christian Cage and Luchasaurus confronted AEW TNT Champion Wardlow and Arn Anderson last week. Will we see any follow up on that?
