AEW Dynamite episode of May 25, 2022, will celebrate the third anniversary of AEW Double or Nothing and will also act as the go-home episode of 2022 version of Double or Nothing. The event will air live from the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and his title challenger CM Punk will also come face-to-face ahead of their match. The semi-finals of both men’s and women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament will continue. FTR will put their ROH tag-team championships on the line against Roppongi Vice. Wardlow’s road to DoN will continue as he will face Shawn Spears. Ricky Starks, Jungle Boy and Shane Strickland clash in a triple threat match.

Shawn Spears vs Wardlow – Steel Cage Match

Wardlow is handcuffed as he walks out with security. MJF checks him for foriegn objects and mocks checking for keys to handcuffs. Spears attacks Wardlow before the handcuffs could be removed. MJF also takes shots at Wardlow as he calls for the bell. MJF and Spears double team and starts to beat up Wardlow. Wardlow hits a big boot and a back body drop on Spears but MJF attacks him from behind.

Wardlow hypes up after MJF gets in his face. He slams Spears to the mat. Wardlow hits a senton atomico but MJF delays the count. Wardlow goes for a powerbomb but MJF hits him with a low blow. Spears hits C4 on Wardlow but he kicks out despite a fast count from MJF. Spears goes out and brings in a chair. MJF holds up Wardlow as Spears goes for a chair shot. Wardlow ducks and Spears ends up taking out MJF with a chair shot.

Spears is perplexed. Wardlow recovers and starts hitting powerbombs on Spears. He hits three powerbombs back to back. A new referee comes in. Wardlow hits a powerbomb on a steel chair. He stands on Spears’ chest and gets the pin.

Winner – Wardlow

After the match, Wardlow picks up MJF but he slips out of the cage and sends in security. Wardlow takes out all the security and stands tall on top of the cage.


Jericho Appreciation Society are backstage and hypes up themselves. They find a crew member wearing Jon Moxley’s shirt and go on to bully him. Jericho throws a fireball at the crew member.


Page & Punk Face-to-Face

CM Punk and AEW World Champion Adam Page are out in the ring for a face-to-face promo segment. Punk is asked by Tony Schiavone if this match is indeed the biggest moment in his career. Punk replies that the biggest moment of his career took place right here in Vegas, and that he will walk out of Double or Nothing as the champion, respectfully. Page is asked for his comment while some from the crowd boo him. Page replies that he has already told what he is going to do to Punk.

Punk says there is nothing personal with Page, and he is just coming after the title. Page says he talked about annihilating him, destroying him, and he did not mean on Double or Nothing, but tonight. Page talks about Punk not realizing what it means to be a champion and on Sunday, he will be fighting to defend AEW from him. Punk retorts that the path Page took to AEW World title was paved by him years ago. He offers a handshake but Page decks him with a big punch.

Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston vs Private Party(Isiah Kassidy & Marc Quen)

Eddie attacks Kassidy on the ramp. Moxley and Quen start the match in the ring. Mox works on Quen in the corner. Eddie comes in and hits body shots. He follows with a powerbomb and a double underhook suplex. Mox come in and hits corner clotheslines. Quen hits an enzuigiri on Mox. Private Party double team on Mox with stereo dropkicks and other moves. Mox hits back with a Crash Landing to take us to the break.

After the break, Kassidy fights back against Moxley. Quen tags in and hits a diving crossbody. A dropkick sends Mox to the floor and Quen follows with a suicide dive. Kassidy hits a springboard stunner on Mox. Quen hits a shooting star press for a near fall. Eddie runs in and takes down both opponents with backfists. Moxley comes and works on Kassidy with elbow shots. Eddie keeps Quen down with a dragon sleeper. Mox hits Paradigm Shift on Kassidy to get the pin.

A brawl breaks out between Jericho Appreciation Society and Blackpool Combat Club, Santana & Ortiz and Kingston.

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)(c) vs Roppongi Vice(Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta) – ROH World Tag Team Championship

Romero and Wheeler start the match. Romero hits leg kicks. Wheeler works on the arm. He hits a few shoulder blocks. Romero hits back with his own shoulder blocks. Harwood and Beretta tag in. Harwood hits a shoulder tackle before Beretta fires back with chops. Back and forth action continues until Harwood brings in Wheeler and drops him on Beretta. Romero comes in to double team on Wheeler and Wheeler has to catch the ropes to break the pin. We cut to a break.

Back from the break, Romero is in control against Wheeler. Wheeler hits a back suplex but Beretta tags in to stop the tag. Wheeler breaks free and tags in Harwood. Harwood nails Beretta with right hands and follows with German suplexes. Romero breaks the pin. The match breaks down. Beretta reverses a piledriver from Harwood. Romero hits him with Strong Zero and Wheeler breaks up the pin. Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan from United Empire attack both teams, and the referee ends the match.

Result- No Contest

The Hardys are backstage. Matt Hardy says they and The Young Bucks have got a lot of similarities, but everyone sees them as Hardy cosplayers. Jeff Hardy says they are in their prime and he has a clean slate now. Jeff adds that this is the best run but The Young Bucks are in their way to becoming champions. Matt says that Bucks will be disappointed that they are not able to beat their heroes.

Jungle Boy vs Shane “Swerve” Strickland vs Ricky Starks – Triple Threat Match

Starks go to the floor as the bell ring. Jungle Boy and Strickland shake hands. Starks push them into each other. All three trade pin attempts. Starks sends Strickland’s leg into JB. Strickland hits Starks with a headscissors. Strickland sends Starks to the floor with a Frankensteiner. JB hits a dropkick on Strickland. Stark hits a slingshot stomp Strickland to take us to a break.

Back from the break, Strickland and Starks are on the apron. JB knocks down Strickland to the floor. He hits Starks with a clothesline. All three men end up on the top. Starks is knocked off to the floor. JB hits Swerve with a Frankensteiner, but Strickland lands on his feet. Starks cuts off Shane’s tackle. Strickland gets JB up for a suplex but Starks hits him with a spear. Starks hits JB with a Michinoku Driver but JB kicks out. JB puts on the Snare Trap on Starks. Starks reaches the ropes. Swerve hits a diving foot stomp on Starks to get the pin.

Winner- Shane “Swerve” Strickland

After the match, Will Hobbs attacks Swerve and JB. Luchasaurus comes out and he is followed by Keith Lee. Lee clears the ring and then hits a dive on Hobbs and Luchasaurus. He ends the segment by standing tall with Swerve in the ring.


Tony Schiavone is on the stage and he brings out AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. Rosa talks about never complaining about anything as it is what champions do. She claims that Serena Deeb is not a champion and Deeb should look herself in the mirror and blame herself for that. Rosa brings up Deeb disrespecting her coach Dustin Rhodes and Tony Schiavone last week and says she does not look up to Deeb anymore. She ends the promo saying that she will teach Deeb a lesson of respect.

Dr. Britt Baker vs. Toni Storm – Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Semifinal

Storm works on the arm early in the match. Baker comes out of the lock. The match goes to the outside and Storm sends Baker into the ring post. Storm hits her with uppercuts before Baker slams her into the apron. Baker slams Storm face into the steel stairs. We cut to a break.

After the break, Toni starts to come back as they trade forearms. Baker nails her with a thrust kick. Toni fires back with a tornado DDT and then follows with a hip attack. Baker hits back with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall. Hayter is out at the ringside. Britt talks to her and Storm tries to catch her by surprise with a roll-up. Baker hits a swinging neck breaker. Storm hits a German suplex.

They go to the floor again and Storm hits a tornado DDT to the floor. Back to the ring, Storm knocks Hayter off the apron. Baker counters the Storm Zero and gets the pin by holding the ring ropes.

Samoa Joe vs Kyle O’Reilly – Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Semifinal

Both men try to get the kicks going. Joe hits blows to the neck. They end up on the mat after takedown attempts before coming to a stalemate. Joe goes for Coquina clutch. KOR slips out and picks his leg. Joe drops him with a big shot. Joe hits jabs and chops. Joe counters a Kimura attempt with a body slam. He follows with an elbow drop. Joe keeps control and hits a suplex for a two-count.

KOR comes back with a knee strike and starts to work on the shoulder with kicks and knee strikes. Joe hits a back elbow to drop him. KOR hits a dragon screw on the ropes. Joe blocks the cross armbreaker and gets his leg on the ropes. We cut to a break.

Back from the break, Joe batters KOR with kicks and knee. KOR tries to fight back but Joe drops him with a big clothesline. KOR hits an elbow but Joe fires back with slaps. KOR counters Muscle Buster with an armbar. Joe struggles for a while before getting to the ropes. KOR hits a couple of boots before Joe punches him back. Joe hits an enzuigiri before KOR hits him with a knee. KOR goes for O’Connor roll for a pin. Joe puts him in Coquina Clutch and puts him to sleep.

Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Semi-Finals: The semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament will feature the following matches: 

  • Samoa Joe vs Kyle O’Reilly
  • Dr. Britt Baker DMD vs Toni Storm

FTR vs Roppongi Vice: Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood of FTR will defend their ROH tag team titles against Trent Baretta & Rocky Romero of Roppongi Vice in a tag-team match on Dynamite.

Steel Cage Match: Last week, Wardlow successfully endured the pain and now he has to defeat Shawn Spears in a steel cage match with MJF as a special guest referee to face MJF in a singles match at AEW Double or Nothing.

Triple Threat Match: Jurassic Express will defend the AEW tag team titles against Shane Strickland & Keith Lee and Team Taz at DoN. Before that, one member of each team will face-off in a triple threat match with Jungle, Shane Strickland and Ricky Stark clashing.
