AEW Dynamite episode of February 2, 2022, will feature a big match in CM Punk vs MJF. The show will also start the build-up towards AEW Revolution 2022 PPV. The show will air from Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL.

The Knights of the Black Throne will be in action against Death Triangle. Nyle Rose will also take on Ruby Soho.

Jon Moxley vs Wheelter Yuta

Jon Moxley comes out from the crowd. Wheeler Yuta is accompanied with Orange Cassidy and Danhausen. Yuta goes for the dropkick out of the gate but Moxley sidesteps out of it. Mox puts on a headlock and hits a tackle off the ropes. He stares at Danhausen on the floor. Mox works on the arm. Yuta counters with an armdrag. A dropkick sends Mox to the floor. Mox catches Yuta’s suicide dive, but Yuta then manages to nail him with a dropkick. Nobody is home when Yuta goes for a missile dropkick.

Mox stomps on his arm. They trade chops where Mox’s chop sends Yuta to the floor. Yuta returns to the ring to eat a piledriver. Mox puts on the bulldog trap. Yuta drags himself towards the ropes and has to put his leg on them to break the pin. Mox puts him on the top and hits a chops on the chest. Mox digs his nails on Yuta’s back. Yuta hits a headbutt and comes down to hit a dropkick.

Inverted atomic drop and a dropkick follows. They fight on the apron for a while. Mox hits a DDT on the apron. Danhausen curses Mox which distracts him and Yuta hits him with double ax handle. Yuta hits a German suplex bridge for a two-count. Mox cuts off his quick attack with a cutter. Yuta avoids the paradigm shift and hits Olympic slam. He hits a splash from the top to get a two-count. His punches agitates Mox and he puts on a sleeper hold. Mox then hits a big lariat. He rains down on his neck with elbow shots. Mox hits paradigm shift for the pin.

Winner – Jon Moxley

After the match, Bryan Danielson comes into the ring and tells Moxley that he has been the best AEW World Champion. Bryan offers Moxley to join forces and take some young ones like Wheeler Yuta, Lee Moriarty and others under their wing to dominate AEW. Bryan says he knows it is a lot to take in, and gives Moxley some time to think about it.

Brandi Rhodes is in th ring. Dan Lambert cuts off Brandi Rhodes’ promo. Lambert has Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page. Lambert says he looks better than Brandi in the ring despite being a racist, and whatnot. Brandi takes shots at Lambert’s Gym and ends up slapping him. Lambert brings out Paige Vanzant who slams Brandi to the corner. Others from women locker room run out and separate them.

The Kings of the Black Throne(Brody King & Malakai Black) vs Death Triangle(Penta El Zero Meido & Pac)

PAC comes out with his eyes under blindfold. Black starts against him. Black goes for a clothesline but PAC ducks it. PAC avoids more moves and hits a spinning heel kick. He hits a dropkick to send Black to the floor and removes the blindfold. Penta drops King off the apron. PAC and Penta hit suicide dives on both opponents.

Penta hits a missile dropkick on Black’s groin. He keeps control for a while before bringing in PAC. Black turns it around as we cut to a break.

PAC fights back as we return. He avoids a leg sweep and tags in Penta. Penta hits slingblades on both men. He hits a DDT on King and senton on Black. PAC hits a dropkick on King on the apron. Penta hits a backstabber. PAC takes the blind tag and saves Penta from more attack. Back and forth action between Black and PAC.

Black sweeps PAC and later hits a dropkick. PAC comes back with a dropkick of his own and brainbuster. King breaks the pin. Penta attacks him and sends him to the outside. Death Triangle keep control for a while. They were looking for double team finisher but King pushes PAC from the top turnbuckle. Black spits black mist on PAC. King tags in and they hit Suplex into a powerslam combo to get the pin.

Winner – Kings of Black Thrones

Nyla Rose vs Ruby Soho

Ruby throws her jacket at Nyla and attacks her. Nyla runs her over with a tackle. Nyla hits a powerslam. She misses a hip drop and Ruby unloads with some punches. Nyla hits a Samoan drop for a two-count. Nyla puts on the front chancery before hitting a suplex. She works on Ruby’s arm. She keeps control for a long period.

Nyla with another slam and a leg drop. Ruby comes off the ropes and runs into a Death Valley slam to take us to the break.

Nyla takes down Ruby on the floor. Ruby hits with Riott Kick in the ring but Vickie pulls her leg on the ropes to break the pin. Rose out to the floor to attack Vickie, but Nyla pulls her back and slams her on the floor. Nyla goes for a beast bomb from the top. Ruby tries to counter but she misses the Riott kick. Nyla hits a senton from the top and beast bomb to get the pin.

Winner – Nyla Rose

Backstage, the Gunn Club confront Jungle Boy and mock him briefly. Jungle Boy attacks them but they have numbers advantage. The Gunn Club take JB outside into the snow and throw him across a snowbank. Christian Cage and Luchasaurus run out for the save and run them off.

AEW World Champion Adam Page is out in the ring. He says he is 81 days in his title reign and he has defended it just twice. He wanted to defend the title more. He calls out Lance Archer as he wants some action tonight. Dan Lambert and Jake Roberts try to rattle him on the mic before Archer comes out to attack Page. Page hits him with a suicide dives and sends him into the steel steps. Roberts tries to hit Page with a steel chair which gives Archer the chance to fight back. Archer sends Page through a table with Blackout.

MJF vs CM Punk

MJF takes a cheap shot at Punk’s eyes from behind the referee. Punk turns it around in the corner and lands quick shots and kicks. Punk plays see-saw with Punk on the ropes as he lands punches. Punk hits an elbow on the back. MJF hits back with a forearm and MJF runs into the crowd. Punk follows him and drops him on stairs with an elbow strike. He drops MJF on the rallings.

Punk takes him back to the ringside. The referee asks them to get back to the ring. Punk throws MJF into the ring and hits a few body slams. The crowd asks for it one more time and Punk hits another body slam. Punk was looking for a splash from the top but MJF moves out. Punk crashes into the ring post as he charges at MJF. MJF stands on Punk’s arm and hits a knee drop on it to take us to the break.

Punk fights back on the top rope as we return. He hits a crossbody from the top. Punk hits a neckbreaker and then drops him with a bulldog. Punk looks for GTS but MJF rolls to the apron. Punk hits a body slam on the apron. Punk holds MJF and asks a fan to slap him on the chest. Punk goes to the top and MJF trips him for him to land on top turnbuckle. MJF hits a superplex by his arm for a two-count. Punk counters with a Pepsi Twist.

MJF pulls the referee in front of him. Punk takes the referee to the other corner. MJF puts a tape around Punk’s neck and puts on a sleeper using it. The tape is hidden by MJF’s arm and the referee could not see it. Punk is put to sleep with the choke. The referee raises MJF’s arm as the winner but the tape falls off and the referee cancels the result.

Punk rolls him up for a two-count. He unloads with punches and clotheslines. Punk unloads in the corner with quick punches. He hits an inverted atomic drop and a clothesline for a two-count. MJF kicks him to the floor as we cut to a break.

Punk counters the piledriver and hits a springboard clothesline. MJF drops his arm on the ropes. Punk hits him with a dropkick to send him to the floor. Punk hits a suicide dive. Back to the ring, MJF starts working on Punk’s arm. He puts on a leg lock. Punk turns it into a Boston Crab. A bit of back and forth and Punk has MJF on his shoulder, but his knee gave up.

MJF is working on Punk’s leg now. He goes for figure four but Punk counters with a roll-up. Punk hits a leg lariat for a two-count. Punk hits knee strikes in the corner. MJF bites on his fingers and then on Punk’s face. MJF goes for another superplex by the arm but Punk bites his face and then hits avalanche double underhook Pepsi punch. MJF rolls to the floor to avoid the pin.

MJF kicks at Punk’s knee but Punk counters the Piledriver. Punk hits a roundhouse kick and goes to the top. Punk hits an elbow drop from the top to get a near fall. Punk gets up and signals for GTS. But MJF drops to the floor again. Wardlow comes down the ramp slowly. He stands in between Punk and MJF. The referee asks Punk to bring MJF into the ring. Wardlow distracts the referee and MJF takes a diamond ring shot at Punk to get the pin.

Winner – MJF

MJF and Wardlow celebrate the win in the ring. Apparently, it was Wardlow who dropped the ring to MJF. MJF hands it back to Wardlow. The show goes off the air.
