AEW was back with another Collision episode on January 20, 2024, which featured 3 out of 4 members of Blackpool Combat Club in action. Jon Moxley faced Shane Taylor in a singles match. Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli were facing Eddie Kingston and Ortiz in a tag match.

Adam Copeland issued another open challenge. Thunder Rosa returned to singles action for the first time in one and a half year. Daniel Garcia faced Buddy Mathews of House of Black. Catch up on the complete results below.

RESULTS & UPDATES


Jon Moxley defeated Shane Taylor in a singles match. Shane had caught Moxley with a big punch in the initial part of the match to send Mox tumbling down. Mox made a comeback quickly though for a back and forth match. He got a submission win with a bulldog choke at around 10 minutes mark.

Moxley cut a promo after the match saying he was hungry and pi##ed off and everyone else, even his teammate, need to keep up with him.

Adam Copeland defeated Dante Martin in a singles match. Martin answered Copeland’s open challenge. Martin had the match won almost, but Copeland got his leg to the ropes for a break. Copeland caught Martin mid-air with a spear before he put on a crossface to get a tapout from Martin.

After the match, Copeland told the crowd that he would be the TNT Champion next time he would return to the town.

Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli were asked about their opponent tonight Eddie Kingston. Claudio did not want to talk about Kingston anymore as it has consumed the last 9 months.

Dante Martin was getting interviewed alongside Darius Martin and Action Andretti when Private Party came in running their mouth. Darius challenged them for a rematch which they accepted.

Thunder Rosa defeated Queen Aminata in a singles match after hitting a dropkick and her finisher.

ROH 6-Man Tag Team Champions Bullet Club Gold came out to the ring. They were quickly interrupted by AEW Trios Champions The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn, who once again offered to form a super faction by joining both sides. The Acclaimed got the chants for “Bang Bang Scissor Gang” going to convince them. Bullet Club Gold ultimately agreed.

AEW Women’s Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm was backstage with Luther the Butler and Mariah May. She admitted to know Deonna Purrazzo and being jealous of her technical prowess.

Daniel Garcia defeated Buddy Mathews in a singles match. FTR and the other members of House of Black were out at ringside which led to a brawl outside. Mathews fought out of a sharpshooter and dropped Garcia before Garcia rolled him up to get the pinfall.

Post-match, the two sides got to brawling and several from locker room came out to separate them. After the break, FTR and Garcia challenged House of Black for a steel cage match next week.

Roderick Strong defeated Matt Sydal in a singles match. Sydal had a strong start to the match with quick moves, but Strong took the control as the action spilled to the floor. After Strong cut off Sydal’s second coming, he hit a high knee and End of Heartache to get the pinfall.

Blackpool Combat Club(Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli) defeated Eddie Kingston & Ortiz in a tag team match. Kingston went toe to toe with Danielson and Claudio in the opening exchange, before BCC took control against Ortiz. Claudio dropped Ortiz after swinging him for a while. Kingston fought back after getting the hot tag, but BCC took over after Ortiz beat up Danielson. Claudio held Kingston up and forced him to watch as Danielson finished off Ortiz for the win.

After the match, Danielson spit in Kingston’s face before leaving with Claudio.
