Adam Cole Suffered a Serious Concussion at Forbidden Door

AEW superstar Adam Cole reportedly suffered a very serious concussion during the IWGP Heavyweight Championship Four-Way match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. 

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the four-way match had a rushed and awkward ending due to Cole’s concussion. 

Current IWGP Champion Jay White pinned Adam Cole to retain his title. After taking a superkick from Hangman Adam Page, Cole started to look sluggish. 

Adam Cole has been dealing with multiple injuries since his AEW World Championship storyline with Hangman Adam Page. He has a torn labrum and he might undergo surgery to repair it. 

Owen Hart Cup winner Adam Cole didn’t want to take time off and he was mentally ready to continue, and hence he has been avoiding surgery up to this point. 

Adam Cole is now the latest edition to AEW’s long list of injured superstars which includes the likes of Bryan Danielson, AEW World Champion CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Red Velvet, Kyle O’Reilly, Jungle Boy, and many more.
