WWE Rumor Roundup- 9 June 2020- Adam Cole, Jinder Mahal & More

WWE Rumors

Possible Backlash match, Adam Cole’s Contract updates and Jinder Mahal’s scrapped plans in the latest WWE rumor roundup for 9 June 2020.

Last week, there were rumors about Adam Cole’s WWE contract getting up in August. Yesterday, PWInsider denied that and are saying that Cole has 18 more months in his contract. This translates to the end of 2021.

Fans were quick to speculate Cole dropping the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: In Your House but that also did not happen. But, Cole’s promotion to the main roster is still in plan in the near future.

Jinder Mahal had another knee surgery last week, a year after the first one. WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor is saying that before this surgery Paul Heyman had big plans for Jinder Mahal. The plans included a feud with current WWE Champion and Mahal’s former 3MB team mate Drew McIntyre.

WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders have been involved various competitions over the last five weeks. This is all likely to end up now and a title match at Backlash is rumored for now. The match was announced until Monday night but could be announced anytime in the week.

The Viking Raiders have defeated the Profits in a non-title match before Money in the Bank 2020 PPV, making them a contender for a title match. Another point to note here is that The Street Profits have not defeated The Raiders till now in a tag team match.

Rumors from 8 June 2020:

  • Elias Injured
  • Edge vs Orton Match Filmed
  • New designs for a few WWE Titles
  • Velveteen Dream Main Roster Future
