Location- Thunderdome at Amway Center, Orlando, FL, US
Start Time- 8 PM EST(22 September 12 AM GMT/5:30 AM IST)

AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy come out for the Ascension Ceremony before the Ladder match at Clash of Champions to crown the Undisputed Intercontinental Champion. Jeff Hardy’s title belt and Sami Zayn’s relinquished title, both were hanged over the ring during the ceremony.

Sami Zayn defeated Jeff Hardy & AJ Styles in a non-title triple threat match. AJ Styles hit the Phenomenal Forearm on Hardy but Zayn stole the pin.

After the match, AJ Styles brings out a Ladder and takes out Zayn with it. Hardy then sets up the ladder in the ring and brings down both the titles that were hanging above the ring.

Backstage, Otis is asked about his decision regarding the lawsuit from the Miz. Otis says he does not trust the lawyers. The Miz and Morrison also come up. Otis tells them he settles disputes in the ring and not in court. Miz takes a shot at Mandy Rose and a brawl breaks out. WWE staff gets things under control.

We see a replay of Bayley vs Sasha Banks feud. WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley comes out to the ramp and sits there on a steel chair. Bayley takes a shot at Sasha saying she could watch the video over and over but she won’t her time on Sasha. She also address Nikki Cross and warns her that she could do the same thing to her that she did to Sasha.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Gran Metalik with a pin after Exploder suplex and kinshasa. After the match, Cesaro hits suplex on Dorado who comes in to check on Metalik. Dorado and Kalisto had an argument when Kalisto joins them in the ring.

Jey Uso knocks on Roman Reigns’ door but Reigns does not open. We get a video where various members of Anoa’i Family. After the break, Jey Uso comes out to the ring where Uso asks him what has went down wrong between them. Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman are watching from backstage. Heyman assures Roman that the talk will happen at the time of his choosing.

King Corbin defeated Matt Riddle with a pin after Corbin countered the floating Bro and hits End of Days.

Alexa Bliss vs Lacey Evans ended in DQ after Bliss loses her control upon hearing the screaming sounds from the Fiend. Bliss continues to beat up Evans after the match and hits her with Sister Abigail on the floor. Bliss’ hair is all messed up during the match. The Fiend appears on the screen and screams a bit.

Bliss goes up the ramp and Roman Reigns makes his entrance. Bliss is staring at Roman and his Universal Championship from behind.

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman are in the ring after the break. Jey Uso also comes out. Roman berates Jey saying that he does not have it to be the Universal Champion. Roman says Jey is one half of the greatest tag team of this generation, but their family relies on the Tribal Chief. Reigns leaves the ring.

Uso tells Roman that he will defeat Roman at Clash of Champions. Jey also exits the ring and reaches the ramp where Roman was standing. Roman comes out and takes out Jey with a Superman Punch. Roman rants while Jey is down on the ramp. SmackDown comes to a close.
